My only point is, if somebody said "Murray, the pride of British Tennis" everybody would agree. Or "Wales, the pride of British Rugby" would be begrudgingly agreed with after a lot of banter and piss taking. But nobody would take either as a personal insult to their home nation. I just don't see why anybody should but those that do are often not English, like I said, any hint of the English behaving superior is taken like we just shagged ya daughter, when it's just banter....
