Yeh got one for my dog...I figured he couldn't hear my 2000 decibel whistle when he was running 800m in to the next field. Not entirely sure if he know's how to answer it but I have a good feeling that his recall with get better Hmmm I get ya mate. Wireless is no good though mate, you need it hardwired..................... to mains voltage! LOL

Nick the enthusiasm in your posts is infectious! It's a feeling we're all used to... I have never been able to eat properly on a shoot day, I'll try but have f**k all appetite with the excitement. Embarassing eh? I just take a couple of breakfast bars for when my appetite perks up after the first drive.

Okay, so lets put this into perspective as all things financial are relative; How much is total Council income anually? Only figure I can find is £136B, but I'm open to any others? So the % of that used fraudulently is only 0.13%. Is 0.13% fraud a lot? Obviously any is too much but lets be realistic with our expectations.

I'd argue the trait is entirely natural, the level to which it is exhibited however is not. As we agreed its a varying scale, so does a predator not display at least a low level of gameness when taking a testing prey?

I think you are talking about " natural " in terms of the way it produces.......................im talking about " natural " as in the trait itself......its not natural for a dog to be willing to fight beyond a certain level.......and if he wont fight beyond a certain level he,s not game ?? There are some people who think gameness IS black and white......as in a dog is either game or its not and conditioning is the only factor as to performance............myself i dont agree with that i think there are varying levels of gameness...........those peoples argument would be if theres varying l

Gnash, I think you're looking at the trait of gameness as a very black and white trait rather than a varying scale from gutless to dead game. I'd say it's as natural as any other trait physical or mental. You can't just breed dead game dogs like you can't just breed English Derby winners. But you can produce dogs that are on average gamer than the majority, like you can breed greys that are on average faster than the majority. Doesn't mean speed or indeed gameness isn't natural, just the extremes aren't common, nonetheless there had to be the potential for that in the genetics.

There's that sociological law that states all internet arguments/debates will inevitably end up drawing comparisons with Hitler, Malt knows the one... Anyway, seems there needs to be a corrections made to that. Post 2001 all arguments end up about bloody Islam! Literally every one!

Foxing With A Normal Shotgun Load?

I think most folks, as I do, will just use a rod with brass brush and cotton mop. Plenty of gun oils on the market, I don't particularly care which and a tin will last years! You can buy aerosol sprays that look pretty good mind. I also now have a wood oil but never used to bother. Just break the gun up, wipe all the shit away with kitchen towel, then wipe anything metal with lightly oiled rag, rod the barrels and reassemble. Have I missunderstood you? -
Dunno wheather or not it's a fair price but I sell Duck and Pheasant breasts (takes 10mins to breast a dozen birds) £5 a brace (four breasts) to folks at work. I make rabbit burgers as well that I'll probably sell at 75p a burger. I'm not gonna retire early but it all goes in a pot and end of season I should have a nice little bonus.
