  1. Buy John a few drinks at the end of a day and I'm sure he'll give you the full song.
  2. Anybody hunted muntjac with decent hounds? I've always thought they would give you a decent hunt with a few small hounds on foot. Dunno if they would bay up but I imagine in a big woodland you could have a bit of fun hunting them round. My terrier flushes and takes a line on them (while out walking completely unintentionally) but obviously looses the line after a hundred yards or so.
  3. Simple peacetime intelligence gathering, you poke and test a potential enemy to learn how they respond so if you have to attack in the future you have an idea how best to do so effectively. They fly reconnaissance planes around the North Sea and our northern most borders testing our radar and Typhoon response times. A squadron or two or Nimrods would be handy....
  4. I've got ideas so far hutchey, but for the time being I just want to be out making the most of the season while it's here. Got ferreting, ratting, pigeon shooting, lamping and a few walk up days planned plus our three remaining offical shoot days......... and of course bugging Dan another day soon I'm sure . The fallow antlers are lovely though! And I reckon the sika will be ideal for a little dinning room table center piece.... Got ideas!
  5. Yeah typical, mind we had a pretty action packed day on the Roe! Like I said, I've never even seen a Sika, so to get a shot at one would be spot on!
  6. You've got a real hard on for the man haven't you. How many usernames you had now? Why don't you go and see him rather than constantly dragging your issues with him on to this site?
  7. like I said mate anytime you want to pop down give us a bell have you had any of the roe yet? You don't have to worry about that mate, I'll be back in the new year! haha Yeah, I didn't want to hang it too long in this mild weather (no game chiller). I had the fillet steaks just pan fried, roasted the haunch for my parents on Sunday and gave the shoulders to a mate for Xmas. The rest is in the freezer. Beautiful meat, as Roe always is!
  8. Touche. You may not be for much longer, what with dementia setting in.
  9. About once a week normally. In that case I would see a doctor...................... you may have dementia!
  10. Walshie, how often exactly do you shoot this rifle? LOL LOL
  11. LOL every reply to that I tried didn't sound right mate so I,ll just go with Born Hunter had a very similar experience off that valley And im STILL smiling about it Dan! Everybody that will give me an "Alright Ben" has had their ear burnt off! Thanks again mate. Just got my FAC posted for my rimmys mate.
  12. Well, he's got the "bang, bang" and the "tshh, tshh" mastered. Maybe now he can learn how to throw a jab-cross properly. (is there a smiley for 'cringe'?)
  13. Went Into Cabelas In the States A Few Mths Ago And There Gear Is Sold In There And Flys Off The Shelf , That Family Had Made There Mark Well Before The Cameras Started Rolling !! I came back with a pair of Duck Commander 'Lounge Pants' and a mug. WTF I want lounge pants for I don't know! LOL
  14. My fawn bitch swims whenever she wants to, water doesn't phase her. She's quite keen on hunting coots for some reason, maybe because they give a fair chase unlike ducks that just f**k off.
  15. These pair aren't Taliban, the Taliban couldn't give a shite about either of them. They are just wannabes, lone wolf extremists at best. There will be no 'deals' involving these pair.
  16. I could see that coming, he's very conservative Christian. It was only a matter of time before he upset some liberal. Apparently they had previously wanted to do away with the prayer at the end of each show so as to not offend their Muslim viewers, he told em to shove it with that one. LOL. No doubt there'll be uproar over it.
  17. I'm expecting 20+ minimum, anything less than 20 served would be outragous. Preferably 30+..... well, preferably 'hanged by the neck untill dead' but that's not gonna happen in a EU member state.
  18. http://news.sky.com/story/1184771/lee-rigby-murder-trial-guilty-verdicts GUILTY! Shocker........ To be sentenced in the new year.
  19. Careful! That's how you get ditches and ponds named after you.
  20. If I was responsible for someone like that they'd be getting nothing but Bran Flakes and wholemeal toast! And I hope that knife didn't go back in the cutlery drawer!
  21. I wonder how much of my student loan I pay back per dump?
  22. Why the spring? There's no reason why the traps can't run 365 days a year. Not questioning how you run your job mate just a little curious I can't get round a trap line in the winter, it's just inconveinient simple as that. In the spring we will be running the larsens for magpies and crows and it's much more conveinient to trap then between me and the keeper. I work a 40 hour 9-5 week and 20 miles from the shoot. LOL. At the minute the only traps I have down are in the storage stables keeping on top of the rats which can be easily checked by people other than me.
  23. That's what I'm thinking! I don't know why I give a f**k about this but I do. LOL. And Tomo, FFS buy a decent phone! You're killing us! And Max, for the love of god answer Gnasher's question! What was everybody looking at?
  24. Haven't a clue who the pogues are but there Xmas song is good.
  25. Good stuff Tom! I'm also looking forward to this spring and getting the traps out. Build some new permanent tunnels and get a few set on logs over ditches and ponds.... Keeps me ticking over durring that depressing time just after the season has finished.
