    I work for an oil services company, we make shit that finds hydrocarbons and minerals, specifically in the case of the Brazillian work, iron ore. It's not exciting and going to Brazil won't happen, LOL. I'm a physicist in the loose sense of the term.

    Once or twice..... LOL I'm trying to get work to send me to Brazil! We have some South Americans doing work for us in Brazil and there's a bit of a language barrier, I'm strongly suggesting I should go out there for a few months and oversee things. I can but try. LOL

    LOL, yeah that's probably half of what I'm about, but I certainly don't quite have the enthusiasm for it like some of my colleages. But bollocks, we all have to do it and that's pretty much my attitude.

    Simply working for a living sucks the big one! But the most sickening job I've ever had the desparation to take would have to be charity fundraising... where you knock on as many doors as you can in the evening when good folks are trying to chill out after work and badger them into setting up a direct debit for some poxy charity. A c**ts job, I felt like one and got treated like one. Factory work wasn't great either and 3 months working for a NHS data migration company with a bitch of a boss was also shite. But yeah, working for a living is one pile of STD ridden GASH!

    Thanks for the info SB. I think I might have to buy a mask/snorkel and fins and have a go in Cornwall this summer. Just get comfortable with diving before moving on to foraging for my dinner.

    Always struggle with these questions. I guess I'd love to burn the ear off of an old and bold SBS operator in a quiet corner of a country pub, one of the guys from the 70s when modern special forces soldiering was really being pioneered.     I don't think it would be stretching our resources, there's counter terrorism UKSFs squadrons on rotation 24/7 for deployment anywhere in the world. We have kit in Africa right now as part of training operations. It wouldn't be a year long campaign. It'd be a replay of Sierra Leone if you are looking for similarities to previous UK interventions. Yeah, there'd be a lot of exterminating LOL but with live hostages instead of dead ones.

    We very recently commited a significant amount of Naval assets to the Malaysian Airline search and the typhoon relief and rescue. and found jack shit LOL, but so what? The point being we did the moral thing and not for the oil that everybody claims is the reason for any military deployments.

    I'm well aware of them Scot. Those that are publicised at least. But fact is, the best people by a significant margin to rescue those Girls are in the nations I've mentioned.
