I've been looking at some other aticals and head of RAF reakons Russia could squash our defences before we could react. Yep, he was talking about a conventional air strike, a saturation attack where the Russians send everything they have got to bomb the UK. We haven't the air defence to defend against that sort of attack... However... that's not 'steam rollering' the UK. That's one strike which we would probably not completely defend ourselves against. If that strike was the beginning of total war or invasion then we have 4 boats ready to rain hell on them. But an invasion is another scena

Lol Joe, the UK has a strong economy, the debt and cuts are neither here nor there. If you have a strong economy then there is money to be had, the Russians will rapidly run out if they don't sort something out. But that's missing the point entirely, if you think the Russians can steam roll the UK then you haven't the foggiest of our or their capabilities. Do you honestly think flying age old bears and frigates around the UK is the slightest threat to our forces?
-
He could try, depends if he wants to see every major city in Russia become radioactive wastelands. To then have his forces flattened by the US. Putin might show resolve and a very intuitive tactical mind but the Russians are anything but indefeatable. See how strong they are when their economy crumbles.

His name is Edward.....

It ain't that sensible seeing as guns were banned in the original conditions!

The Romans..... why's it called vikings then. It's Latin.

If we're allowed food then 15lts of peanut butter (crunchy sort) would see me calorie wise through to the end.

Serious answer... A fixed blade knife, an axe and something to sharpen them both with. If I can take a multi-item piece of kit then I'd add a fishing rod or compound bow to that in place of the axe.

Only one word for Ranulph... ANTI There are loads of folks that are 'anti', quite frankly the words fecking meaningless to me these days. Even if true, I still have a lot of respect for the fella. He stood for the Countryside Party in the 2004 EU elections (with strong connections to the CA).... strange politics for an ardent anti? He's also a libertarian and pro UKIP. I have no idea of his opinions on hunting but I find a common ground with him politically.

f**k em both off and take Sir Ranulph Fiennes. The man might not be a survivalist but he's survived just about everything this planet dare throw at him! He has a resolve to live and succeed that neither of them two have shown and the intelligence to make it a reality.

domestic dogs were available to mesolithic people. Yeah, that's what I said. If I was trying to live as a Mesolithic man, I'd want a few handy hounds with me. Even a terrier would be well worth it's feed.

The strongest of men can come from the most mundane of places... Steves problem is he's clearly lived a colourful life and thinks that that makes him better than others. Natural selection is taking place and he's been found out!

Finally caught up with episode 6. "I don't want to be associated with loosers"... no worry about that mate, you're not a looser, you're a quiter! I know which I'd prefer to be! The only thing that self important twat has led is a f***ing shambles.

Well I am an FAC holder, I made that very clear but was still told they would not tell me over the phone what the land was passed for because of data protection laws. Which I knew as well as they did was bullshit.
-
I phoned about a bit of land was told that without filling in all the paperwork officially they would not tell me what it was passed for "as it's against data protection"!

You can't just draw a random circle and pretend there's a sniper there!...... I'm sorry but if that's a sniper then there are clearly two!

Quarter of the way in from the right and about an eighth the way up. Beneath the left of the white rock?

I thought that too. Then I thought, well they're fairly well established where they are and to move 15 people would be a significant amount of work but certainly building a small 'lake camp', which could support 3-4 people as well as more efficiently supply the main camp with high calorie food, would have been my move. Let the best hunters of the group establish this camp and then gradually move the rest when it has proven sustainable and viable. I've only seen episodes 1-3, I'll have to catch up.

They don't need to make one CC...... They were f***ing given one at the start! With arrows FFS!!!! The mind boggles eh!

i recon a decent group of us (minus the bullx brigade and the beddy/whipped fallow hunters) could make a good go at it...take a couple of female members for the upcomeing newspaper "scandle" and we would be ok! i honestly thing the biggest problem would be bloody flint knives! i would do better than that bunch of jobsworths and baggy breasted feminists It's alright, not a problem fella. We'd just invent the Iron age and f**k the flint off!
