  1. I think most people feel the same about such astronomical events, the TV paints a false picture. I've been travelling down Dorset a bit recently for stalking with a mate. Always a bit of lamping involved and the night sky down there is really quite beautiful compared to the midlands, the Milkyway is very apparent! Reminded me of the skys I saw as a child, before light pollution increased to what it is now.
  2. The tomahawk cruise missile has a similar range and can be launched from submarines while fully submerged. All our attack subs are armed with them. There's similar and more advanced systems in use too with naval surface ships, the RAF and of course the yanks. It's a fairly standard capability for a world power.
  3. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/science/science-news/11917711/Northern-Lights-visible-over-Britain-as-Earth-aligns-with-Sun.html Anybody lucky enough to see this, know I'm green with envy! "The phenomenon will be more visible than usual over Britain in the coming weeks as the Earth moves into a new alignment with the Sun. Currently the chance of witnessing the aurora borealis is high in areas such as North Wales, Northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland." "For the best chance of viewing the Northern Lights experts say it is best to find a dark place away from street l
  4. Which is why i have black polymer stocks on mine, the two supervarmint ones i have are very good and tough as old boots. I handled a polymer stocked T3 lite but just didn't like the feel or strangely how light it was, lol. The varmint stock does at least look better ergonomically though. I think in the future I will always just buy the cheapest stock they have and then bin it and buy an aftermarket stock. Which with the reported barrel wear on the 25 could be sooner than most would like!
  5. Funny enough, speaking to a mate that does the terriers he said his dad had the same experience and he himself has the full Falklands outfit and doesn't rate it either. Reckons the trousers have managed 4-5 years but generally not worth the money. So that's a number of terrier men that don't rate the stuff now.... Bit disappointing really....
  6. How mate? All the stocks are $129...... Unless I get someone from the US or Canada to buy it for me and send it on I'm up shit creek.
  7. Lying to get someone else in the shit or make their life hard by using the system is as low as it gets IMO ... Especially when said person was in the wrong in the first place. That is grassing, not just snitching, as Gnasher would put it. Real low move that. Fortunately keepers know how to deal with lowlifes like that, as it happens they have camera phones and witnesses too. I hate the thought that another hunting/shooting/country man would feel the need to run to the police because he has to deal with lads out places they know they shouldn't be. Lads poach, I don't think many
  8. Anybody remember that fella on here a few years back? Was his name Milo? Anyway he tried the same, had a caravan and his family living on this bit of 'neglected' woodland, had a veg patch and just hunted (poached?) the local critters. I don't think he had a job and then D-Day came and he was evicted! Got really upset if I remember, felt like the plot was his by right. LOL. Had some interesting threads and I dare say we all admired him a bit. Well until the shit hit the fan and he seemed to think he had a right to the place.
  9. Have you seen our roads?...... You would probably mistake them for 'sidewalks'! Make a truck that doesn't need an airfield to turn and a 500lt tank to make it between towns and you'll be in with a chance at the UK market. Mount 12.7mm Dushkas to them and you could probably sell a load to the Arabs, they're always on TV flying about in new Hilux's killing each other.
  10. I don't really differentiate to be honest mate. Like I said, I don't have the ability to kill everything in this country with a 22 Hornet, the HO recognise that and grant a larger calibre. A Larger calibre makes for a bigger kill zone or at least a less 'energetic' animal if a shot is misplaced. If someone doesn't have the ability to head shoot foxes at 100 yards with a hmr, without a significant rate of wounding then why shouldn't they be granted a 222 etc so they can point at anything in front of the diaphragm and kill it? It's widely accepted that the 243 is perfectly enough gun in
  11. Isn't that exactly what we do though? Otherwise how can you justify a 243 for foxing over a 222? Or a 30-06 for stags over a 243? Surely the point in having 'more gun' is to make precision less important........... within reason. Let's face it, someone with high level of skill could kill everything in this country with a 22 Hornet, but we allow more powerful calibres to compensate for people not being exceptionally skilled. Why take a hmr for a guaranteed 100 yard fox when you can take the 222 and just make life easier? I'm definitely a fan of using as much gun as you can within reason, ta
  12. Pick-ups! For driving the German hunting dogs around.
  13. I wonder if the Japanese government have a petition signed by nearly 450'000 of their citizens asking to take on more refugees? It's easy to be hard-line when you're electorate back it. It's not so easy when the loudest voices are those of the Liberals. We get the politicians we deserve....
  14. I've often said that if you're born a dwarf you have a lucrative career in entertainment already laid out for you!
  15. Thats the standard question thrown up in these type debates and i,ll give an analogy if i may.........its like asking someone to be gay......much as its unnatural to have sex with another man.....if your life depended on it you "could " do it..............however you would simply find any other way of getting out of the situation before bending over That's a very good analogy. I wanted to point out that just because grassing on someone is considered right it doesn't make it any more palatable. But walking the path your morality says is right was never meant to be easy. Honour, pride, love,
  16. You're at it again. The authorities end their freedom. Haha. What planet you on. Ring the old bill and report a crime. See if it "ends their freedom". They might pop round a week on Thursday. They might even end up in court. A fine maybe? Or a suspended sentence. If you are lucky. Don't call me naive when you are coming out with that nonsense. Some of us live in the real world. Are we talking about different things? When was the last time a rapist got a fine and had to sweep the streets? A terrorist? A murderer? Etc. It's like you're actually trying to be obtuse! So not only can'
  17. So you still can't answer the two questions? Yes, having the authorities deal with them is ending their freedom to commit the crimes. It's a fact it's much more rigorous than your method. Which is ignorance or vigilantism. Clearly our morality differs greatly. I couldn't mind my own business on the issues we are talking about. Allowing this false honour to get in the way of justice and security of an innocent person is morally repugnant. But you're too naive to see how that's possible.
  18. I agree with the last statement mate but can you tell me the difference between reporting someone and grassing someone ?Why would anyone want to "report" anything? More people need to mind their own business. The only exception is child abuse. And then I can think of better solutions than ringing someone. So if you suspect child abuse, you think that you have the same ability to determine guilt as the authorities? Or would you not do anything unless presented with undoubtable proof? What about terrorism? What about a psychopath? What about a rapist? This 'never grass' code of

  22. He wanted free hand in the east, but didn't plan to take over Europe. At least until Europe declared war on him he only defended his people who were being murdered in stolen German land. I'd be ashamed of any British leader who didn't do the same. I think there's two sides to that story....
  23. A lot of his descendants have changed their name and some even sterilised themselves for fear that another Adolf is in their blood!
  24. That's exactly what I was looking at but then read their international policy and wasn't sure if I could actually buy it? I'm hoping it'll improve my mount/stability too as I have found the factory T3 stock wank in all honesty. It will mate they are very stiff, and have two steel pins in the stock cross ways to add to the rigidity,I was going to glass bed mine, but after fitting it I found it not needed, it turned an already accurate rifle into a tack driver. Well, just tried ordering and my prior concern has been validated it seems.... "Your order Exceeds $100 and is being shi
  25. If the man had been hit by a bus before deciding to take over Europe, he'd probably be remembered as one of the greatest leaders in history. It's a shame he couldn't have been moderated, the tech advancements that came under Nazi rule were cutting edge stuff but he also lost a lot of really great minds through certain extreme social policies.
