  1. Yesterday morning yeah. Did the low tide. Could’ve shot some decent wrasse but left them be. Found a decent pollack but my mask was fogging like f**k. Need to sort that for tomorrow. It was mostly about getting used to using a gun rather than a pole etc. tbh I just f**k around, nothing serious.
  2. That was between the cattle grids on the st Ives st just coast road. Near all the tin mines. I was just happy to be able to park somewhere scenic and not pay £6 parking! Epic bit of coastline. f***ing treacherous too! Ha
  3. Had a bimble around the north coast today. It’s like I attract these f***ing things! Awesome though.
  4. Yeah. But that’s not compulsory, thank god.
  5. Dunno. That beach was Pedn Vounder, just up the way from Porthcurno. I been wanting to go for about four years. I went once, opened the tent in the morning and was pissing down and I just turned around and headed back east until the sun started shining. First time I went I wanted it to be perfect, silly as that sounds, and didn’t want to see it in shit weather. Worth the wait!
  6. Look at that! Hands down the most perfect thing I’ve ever seen in the UK.
  7. At the moment, yeah I believe him. But I don’t believe his motivation for his honestly is anything other than wanting to pressure acceptance for all immigration.
  8. You reckon his coming out isn’t related? It’s entirely political imo.
  9. I’ve fancied going Scilly for a few years now. I reckon it’d be pricey though. Looks heavenly!
  10. It haven’t watched it and probably won’t. But let’s not pretend that rules of engagement and rules of war aren’t twisted and overlooked by tier 1 units historically. DEVGRU have a bit of a reputation. How many of the hostage takers at princes gate were actually armed? Etc I think operating at that level and with such infamy can and sometimes does lead to cultures of exceptionalism and that can and does lead to immorality. At the same time, these units will be the ones that are asked to cross moral lines when it is deemed necessary by their commanders. I simply don’t have an opinion b
  11. I’m in Cornwall for a few days now. It’s outrageous. Absolutely perfect. I was spear fishing this morning and when the clouds broke and the sun hit the water it lit up hundreds of jellyfish and thousands of sandeels. Was like something out of aquaman. And there’s a ton of babes in thong bikinis!
  12. After watching that oversea territories series it made me consider how there are a ton of little paradise-esque islands that have been ruined by infestations of rats. It’d be some job getting dropped on these tropical isolated islands with a fly camp, a sack of traps and fishing gear. Eradicating the invasives while living the castaway life, before being dragged back to ‘normality’.
  13. I think the Wests response and Russia's performance with the Ukraine situation has kept China cautious. Had things played out differently I genuinely believe they would be signing off on an invasion plan now. I think they'll be looking to work up to a greater level of military confidence before making a move now. But I do believe they will move eventually. They'd be the first nation to amass such firepower and do f**k all other than internal security with it. They've just flooded the dry dock of their first native carrier. The first one that is up there in size and spec with your mobs stu
  14. Imo China won’t just have a punt at the top dog straight away. They’ve only just really developed the capability of expeditionary warfare. They now have a long road of experience gathering to develop that, so expect them to begin to test their actual capability to be successful at expeditionary with small ops. Amphibious landings on minimally protected islands and interventions to prop up regional governments. Slowly turning the screw on the US and allied hegemony. If they were to challenge it would be with area denial weapons like hypersonics.
  15. I genuinely think you'd have more luck convincing the electorate to vote for a nationalist tyrant than you would a libertarian. I also think you'd have more chance of driving change from within Lab/Con than you have of a third party laying waste to them. UKIP proved that pressure from a third party can force change from within. It's a distasteful strategy, but time and time again I see the two party system be restored and the only change happening as a result of internal change from the big two. Trump is another example, failed as an indy and succeeded from within an establishment party.
  16. It was absolutely worth it because now we're only one government away from change, whereas before we were two. And even worse before, like with any big change, people were paralysed by the fear of the unknown. It's done now, and the world didn't end. Boris did what he was employed to do, he constitutionally untangled us from the EU.
  17. Not much being reported in this yet. Could be interesting. Especially if China bring some of their new toys. IRAN, China and Russia will join 10 other nations in Venezuela to take part in joint military operations in a defiant message to the "unipolar world order". 18. A very small yougov poll of Tory members has put SecDef Ben Wallace as favourite! Former Scot’s Guards…

    Turkey

I expect a lot of people would've said eastern Europe not so long back. But that's looking a touch risky these days. Ha I've never been to Turkey, so it might be paradise, but f**k I'd take some convincing on that one. Islamic country, military junta, gateway to the most troubled region of the entire world, ruthless and unstable government. A mate of mine reckons Sardinia is the place. Cheap, idyllic, an in your face hunting culture, relatively close, and the cultural gold mine of the Italian mainland just over the Tyrrhenian sea. I'd be looking at places like that, Cyprus etc.
  20. Whatever happens, Ben Wallace seems to be doing relatively well as SecDef and I hope he's kept in that role.
  21. <Shit! I'm compromised!> "So yeah, it's really bad to tread on snakes and tax and stuff, yeah..."
  22. Could your son provide home addresses and rough wealth estimates?
  23. I can sense we will just disagree on this. Look, I don't really care, politics is just another force of nature to me these days, just part of the environment, like the weather. However, I do find it interesting to study. So, your view, if factual, is a nice little snippet but do you not think it has any consequences? 100% agree with the wrongs of 2008 fyi.
