Because the international effort to deal with it has less substance than a pink haired soap dodging modern liberal! There should have been a European naval task force deployed of dozens of ships headed by the RN consisting of helicopter carriers, frigates and patrol ships with constant aerial patrols. What we actually sent was HMS Ocean and I think a single patrol vessel as a token humanitarian effort.

I've got a T3 and it's good for the money but I wouldn't say that it couldn't be improved. I'd like to see a metal trigger/mag guard, metal double stack mags and also the option of 22" barrel. The Sako fits that requirement better I suppose but is significantly more expensive. That's probably what I'll replace the T3 with when I feel like it. not that my T3 has let me down mind. -
Frankly a hunt kennel open day and show is more enjoyable than game fairs these days! These 'game fairs' are nothing more than giant carboot sales with the odd fieldsports demonstration. It should really be wall to wall country but they aren't and perhaps that doesn't pay the bills. Last few I've been to I've been round everything of interest twice in a couple hours. They just aren't worth the expense or time anymore.

Just look at a graph of debt as a % of gdp and impose the terms of governments on it. I have but I can't upload it on this machine. IMO it shows a fairer picture because borrowing to stimulate growth is good. It's dominated by the effects of the War debt and in more recent times significant events include the '90s financial crisis and the '08 GFC. In honesty I don't think there is enough data to make a fair assessment of either parties ability to govern economically. Clearly after the War there was huge potential for economic growth and savings which both Labour and Tory's made. Later,

Now that's interesting............. but is it meaningful? Surely the data needs to be presented in terms of % of GDP rather than simply Pounds Sterling (even normalised)? A Million quid loan isn't so big if you are on a Billion quid salary. But if you're on a 10M salary, then a loan of half a Million would be much bigger relatively. Yet the stats shown would not represent that. Data from '46...... would the War borrowing and rebuilding of the country not have affected the result in the same way the GFC did? Hence why the author took the GFC into account.

But what does the sexual orientation have to do with it really? Surely that is just as wrong if it's heterosexual? I suppose, now you have asked, that as a society that we set a medium between the natural age at which the human animal reaches breeding maturity and what we can morally accept as right and proper and in the best interest of welfare. Nature designed male to breed with female did it not ? Nature never designed men to copulate with other men, it just didn't and that is an indisputable fact. I don't hate gay people, I just try and be honest about it. You say that but

Ted, out of interest would a similar package for Bear, Elk or Ram be that sort of money too? I'd imagine more but I know you lot have a thing about your whitetails so maybe not. That price works out at about £1500.

When I was there a week ago there were soldiers patrolling the streets, law enforcement all over and soldiers with green berets (navy special forces?) at all the tourist attractions. Anything that kicks off there will be stamped on pretty quick from what I saw.

An argument from ignorance ie is a false dichotomy. In the case of a rapidly falling population number such as turtle doves it lacks the introduction of prior plausibility. I.e. hunting may well have a very small impact on populations but one would need to consider the common sense idea that even a small impact at a critical point may well have a much bigger long term effect. In this case he reasons are multiple although reduction in food availability through changes in farming practices and the trichomonosis parasite are the likely major causes, both of which are difficult to alter. So addre

I think it's pretty obvious that killing things will have a negative impact on such creatures numbers. Well you would assume it's a contributing factor! Haha.... That's a straw man argument. You've replaced hunting practices with simply killing. In some circumstances they are equal but in most they are not. The question and approach I posed would take that into account. Alternatively, taking the view of "hunting is killing and common sense says killing is bad for conservation" is incredibly ignorant, only applicable to a small number of cases and actually harmful to the conservation of man

You haven't answered my question either though, do except hunting can have a negative effect? Or are you just too biased as a hunter to except that? I honestly don't know much about this Packam case, but the chances that they over hunt in Malta is quite high. A good falconer friend was out there about 8 months ago, they have falconry there & I believe a club? But fcuk all to hunt. They actually buy pheasants at £15 a go to fly there falcons at. It's been over hunted there. Obviously I'm only to talking about game species, not migratory birds, but it adds up? Of course I haven't got scien

I don't disagree with any of that but those that oppose us and the majority of those that are fairly passive in their opposition do not care about science. I'll sit quoting case studies and GWCT papers to them all day, even to hunting folk that have a bone to pick with another hunting faction but it gets you nowhere. They're all ignorant bigots. The fieldsports community already does a shit ton of conservation and research, but nobody cares about it. The only question that needs to be asked regarding hunting and conservation is this "Does the legal hunting of this animal contribute neg

You're a bit older than me, give me a few years to catch up, I can feel it coming! LOL

It's hard to argue with mate. I see a similar picture these days and said the same privately yesterday. They've moved left to capitalise on the New Labour crowd, it's sensible but shit if you don't feel like you fit in with the mainstream of British politics. I've still got more faith in them than the others right now though.
-
Being perfectly honest mate, I don't care if the deals consider the profits of multinationals more than that of the little man. When the board of directors of the big multinational I work for are taking home 6 figure bonus's I'm getting pay rises, bonus's and liberal use of the companies credit card! My biggest concern is having someone sat negotiating trade who's greatest concern is whether the deal will reduce the number of minorities in the workplace or restrict the growth of some eastern bloc state!

Recently Wilf, it's dawned on me how uncommon my own politics are and have contemplated exactly the same as you right there because "what's the f***ing point, no b*****d will ever agree with me!". LOL So I'm left with voting based on the few things that can be affected by the politics of this country. I've just accepted that what we have now we're keeping until the day folks start feeling the pain from all that shite that is being swept under the carpet. I said it before the referendum, possibly before the last election. If we are to leave the EU then of the choices we have I belie

You're right Wilf, but mention chopping the NHS, pensions, welfare or whatever and everyone has a f***ing breakdown! So the politicians pretend that that debt isn't real and that all these wonderful gifts can be given freely, or that some rich fellas will pay for it in taxes. What do you do with that situation, just say "nah, I'm not playing anymore"? Frankly I believe you just have to get on with it and accept that until there's a bit of pain there will not be the political will in the people to start making hard decisions. Simply not playing is fine, but all you're doing is letting every

I didn't mention the humans! How did you know?

Antlers I suppose. I'm not a collector type at all but anything I kill with a remotely interesting head I'll keep and clean. Not mounted any of them yet, I just like natural stuff like that. I want to brain tan some deer skins and fur-bearers too, fox and mink. I have an idea of collecting a shit load of heads and skins to eventually one day have a little study f***ing rammed with it all. Oddly I'm not particularly a fan of taxidermy though. I like it, just not in my own house.
