Well it was September time and my feet were getting itchy to head North. The truck was loaded with dog, rods and err other stuff The weather gods had smiled on us and it was a glorious morning as we steamed into port. Had a second brood in my stable that fledged beginning of September and I wondered if they would make it , seems a bit late to me.........fingers crossed for the little fellas.

Used to shoot on Islay and they fed distillery waste to cattle. Had wild ducks coming to the sheds to feed on the spilt waste. -

Definitely a Gos, I'm sure one of the falconers will be along to say if it's a flown bird......there does seem to be something showing near it's legs but difficult to see....good pic anyway mate. -

Coming into Antigua once in the middle of a tropical storm, wind, torrential rain, lightening, the works. Pilot dropped us in at the last minuite and just as i thought we were safe the engines screamed and he aborted the landing and up we shot like a feckin rocket .......i dont like flying but its something youve got to do if you want to go anywhere

So there only 2 lots coming in (18 x 2 = 36 )........ Early season I have had lots of birds wheeling about in big numbers and I'm talking about 50 - 100 and these are wild birds. To be honest I don't think they're worth shooting till October/November as most of the birds are still in quill and on the small side....... Keep feeding and you will have better sport ....and eating birds later on
