Aye, got one more day on our rough shoot on Saturday and that's me packed in. Over too quickly but have the trout season to look forward to. Good luck for the remainder.

Neil, afraid a hares a hare where I come from, no distinction and usually casseroled or the saddle taken off, wrapped in pancetta and roasted rare. Don't want to start world war three with the dog men so will leave it at that lol. Springer on the right is a dog, 8 years old and probably in his last season now. One on left is my 3 year old bitch and in her prime. Correct with the snipe, we saw a load one morning and put up maybe 50 in the space of a few hundred yards. Picked these 2 off the road last year...........the Spar was living upto its name !

Spent a few days chasing cock up the west coast ........was a good do and wasnt expecting any great numbers with the weather being so mild but we were pleasantly suprised. We shot 3 flighting them at dusk coming out of a big forestry block, picked a couple of fire checks in the plantation that seems to channel them and had some good sport.

With all the flood water it has been great shooting where i am. This particular bit only floods well once every couple of years but always attracts good numbers of geese and duck. We have had a few outings and nailed a few. Saturday saw us up early doors and waiting for the birds to move. I always love the sound of cock wigeon, a duck not normally associated with these parts and a big pack of maybe 50 plus were on a field just behind us. Anyway a few geese moved and i driopped one which my small dog reluctantly brought back

Think ive posted this up before but this is a big old beast my mate found run over. The golden retriever is a big dog so you can see how big the otter was.

Still nice to be out after them FM....I'm away to the west coast of Scotland in a couple if weeks for a few days chasing them, always do ok with a few snipe and teal thrown in the mix.

Not sure I agree that Bruno had more personality than Fury, always thought people were laughing at a Frank to some degree, not with him. I for one quite enjoy listening to Fury crack on. Just my opinion.
