What's a black eyed wagtail look like mate ? pied wagtail Just playing lol........you get yellow wagtails in your garden Paulus ? no mate, best place to see pied wagtails is Morrisons supermarket car park Good photos. There's a big pied wagtail roost near my office. It's in the middle of a city, must be 100 plus come into 3 small trees on an evening. It's funny to watch the world rushing by, going to catch the train or bus and most of them are oblivious to them...

It was hilarious, the geezer from SNARL was referring to the poor cats as 'animal companions' rather than pets, he sounded a real bellend

Just been listening to a Snarl spokesman on the Jeremy Vine show (radio 2)... Didn't half make me chuckle, the suspect should face the same penalties as child killers !...... The police are looking for a lead ! Lol Then Steve phones up and tells Jeremy and his audience that he's killed 30 cats that have come in his garden chasing his birds. Poor old Jeremy wasn't impressed, put him right off his cup of tea and biscuit. Jezzer then inundated by pussy lovers calling Steve all the names under the sun. Brightened my afternoon up no end lol

No mate, stick it in a bag first.

Top job mate. That's how to should be. .....

Each to his own glenn, still think the cons outweigh the pro's

Why dont spaniel lads use them then ?........ive never seen one being used to work cover, risk of getting it caught up on roots, wire etc springs to mind, wouldnt want to spend half the day looking for the dog ?
-
Spaniels do shiver mate, doesn't mean they are cold always. I have a jack pike one for water work and to put on at the end of the day but wouldn't consider working mine in cover with one on. Spaniels eat up brambles mate, never mind putting a coat on to protect them lol.

Mmm bet your 'lady friend' wasnt too happy

Those cock teal are lovely little birds. I shot 6 teal last week and each one was a cockbird.

Your not far from some great ground in keighley mate, spread your wings a bit and head for the hills lol

Aye, got one more day on our rough shoot on Saturday and that's me packed in. Over too quickly but have the trout season to look forward to. Good luck for the remainder.

Mate just take it's head off, bury it and collect the skull in 6 months. Not an offence to possess a badger skull. Load of PC rubbish, what's wrong with people.

Neil, afraid a hares a hare where I come from, no distinction and usually casseroled or the saddle taken off, wrapped in pancetta and roasted rare. Don't want to start world war three with the dog men so will leave it at that lol. Springer on the right is a dog, 8 years old and probably in his last season now. One on left is my 3 year old bitch and in her prime. Correct with the snipe, we saw a load one morning and put up maybe 50 in the space of a few hundred yards. Real tricky birds to shoot, put the gun upto loads but never fired as they were away too fast. The teal were there in good

Picked these 2 off the road last year...........the Spar was living upto its name !

Spent a few days chasing cock up the west coast ........was a good do and wasnt expecting any great numbers with the weather being so mild but we were pleasantly suprised. We shot 3 flighting them at dusk coming out of a big forestry block, picked a couple of fire checks in the plantation that seems to channel them and had some good sport.

Best of luck mate

With all the flood water it has been great shooting where i am. This particular bit only floods well once every couple of years but always attracts good numbers of geese and duck. We have had a few outings and nailed a few. Saturday saw us up early doors and waiting for the birds to move. I always love the sound of cock wigeon, a duck not normally associated with these parts and a big pack of maybe 50 plus were on a field just behind us. Anyway a few geese moved and i driopped one which my small dog reluctantly brought back
