  1. i think the owner has been tracked down and is due his comeuppance.........this happend a couple of weeks ago but has only just hit the papers....a couple of dog lads were trying to find it after it was first seen and do the right thing and bury it. the owned will get his...eather by the law or by some one else

  3. There's two Red Pike's isn't there? The one between Ennerdale and Buttermere and one down Wasdale? The latter being the higher of the two? Lord knows why there's two? not sure if theirs two..but thier is one in wasdale in mosedale

  6. its tough pillar and red pike are BURTAL! ive been gathering sheep on red pike a fair few times and hated every moment....been up it with the hounds thou and it seemed much easier yewbarrow is a tough wee hill.. not big but tough...if you every go from netherbeck to gosforth grag along the highfell/yewbarrow path you get to a nice new wall about 300m long up the fell side....i helped build that me and one other guy!

Buttermere is great..probably be somewhere around that area myself tomorrow..if you walk up Scarth Gap at the far end of the lake the Ennerdale is on the otherside lol..it's not a bad walk over Scarth Gap you can also head onto Haystacks from Scarth Gap where Alfred Wainwright had his ashes scattered in Inominate Tarn up there ..if you see the pack shout up buddy get ya self over haystacks then over in to wasdale...some proper fells up their if you should see a windswept unshaven young man who looks like he has been sleeping rough for a month...with terriers or fixing a wall any wher
