    so if you had a pure coursing dog that took hares for fun,,,, but wouldnt touch deer or fox,,,, you would not think it worth breeding from??? thats the game i am into but a lurcher in my yard would have to be doing them to be bred off fact why do you keep saying "fact" ??,,,,,,,,, when its only your opinion... to be honest im not shure why you posted your opinion on this thread ??? what does it have to do with the original post by x38 asking what breed are these dogs???

    Nothing wrong with a dog that just catches hares,its just not a all rounder agreed its not an all rounded,,,,, so where are you going with this??? has the term all rounded been discused?? 1 fella said you should never breed off a dog that wont catch deer and fox FACT,,,,,,feck knows why FACT makes it correct. i simply replyed,, if you had a good dog that cought hares shurly thats worth breeding from...................in fact you could take it a step further.........many people breed from dogs that just excell at one quary. of course none of this relates to the orginal thread,,,,

    why are you two banging on about longogs...................... the point i was making is if you had a dog that cought hares but not deer or fox,, why wouldn't you breed from it,,,, same aplys to a little rabbit catcher,, bedy whippet ,, colie/grey ect.. perhaps i should have not used the prefix "coursing dog"...... shurly you understand the point i was making

Are pure coursing dogs not usually saluki greyhounds not lurchers? dont you consider saluki/greys lurchers?? most of the top coursing lines have the more traitional lurcher crosses in there history,,,

    I took my Pup out on a pretty long walk last weekend and she couldn't sit still when I got back for about 2 hours. Moving from one place to the next and whining. I figured it was cramp but didn't know how to help her... Tomatoes you say... nettle stings between the feet can somtimes make dogs go like that,,, had it been running round anywhere , like undergrowth where there where nettles??

    ask yourself this question............. if you feed last thing at night,, and your going out daytime the next morning,,, the dog has stil only had 8-10 hours to digest his food

    how would you like to run it on empty?? feed mine at at 4pm,, for lamping at midnight,, might feed a bit earlier, if im lamping earlier... about an hour after finishing i give them a small feed as well

    i understand what your saying,, and your right,,,,,,, but its easy for us sat here in a warm house not being shot at, ect ect,,, thinking its a shit thing to do,,,,,,,,, but who knows how you would feel put in those circumstances evryday,,,,, i think anybody that goes to war,,, is going to be afected for the rest of there life to some degree.. lets hope its some sort of internet hoax,,, if its not then them soldiers will most proberbly get the book thrown at them

    personly i dont realy care,,, those c**ts do far worse,,, trouble is those soldiers may well get sacked over this,, you know what governments are like,, they will make an example of them,,,, and if any of them have been in a long time they might kiss goodby to a pension

    the problem with mucks,, is there are many difrent models,,, the tay and the spay are the best , they have a vibram sole,,, all the other molded soles wear down in 5 mins... i have had a few pairs of difrent models i have the tay now, and ive had them a year and going strong,,, kittlerox,,, that heal problem.... ive had that with hunters,,,, what i did is like you,,, but also apart from two pair of socks,,,, get some gaffa tape,,, and cut a square off, and try to stick it inside the welly where the lineing ripped,,,,,,,, and also rap a bit round your ankle on top of your socks th

    i keep two hobs together ,, all winter in the court with the jills,, then from march till august there together in a cage ,, they do squable and scrap a bit but nothing to seriouse... but i think some hobs can be very agresive to others,,, bit of trial and error

    seen good and bad in both,, and owned em.... on the hole i prefer a small to meduim jill,,, 2 main reasons,, 1st i can get more ferrets in a carrying box,, if your doing big places this is a real advantage,,,, 2nd they wil pass through a purse net without knocking it about... big hobs cannot do this. but like anything there are downsides,, somtimes the little jills can get kicked around especialy in a tube that has alot of space,, this being said my smallest jill, is at presant my number 1 killer,, and will stay longer than all my other ferrets ,, and even some cracking big hobs...
