  1. yeh i have bits and bobs round me,,genraly just lamp for an hour or so round my place,, maybee get half a dozen or so and other bits... i used to do a lot more semi local round grantham sleaford ect over the last 20 years+, had some good bags 40 being the best..

  9. changing out tune im confused...... changing our tune from what?? as for the rabbits some we catch up there are easy,,as i have said in the past,,,, some however are not,,,, you yourself have just said you cought some easy and some hard rabbits last night,,,, just the same for us the night before. but when your talking about such a big score,,,, of course the human part comes in to play,,,, its hard physical graft over many hours and many miles,, and hills. never been called a hero before,,,,,thanks

  11. i used one called andy at one point i had to carry 7 myself there was no room left on his back. i use a strong stuff carryer,, and a home made thing with big safety pins on

It was 53,,,yes she had planty of misses, so maybee 70 pluss runs,, in both mine and andys mind she could have gone on. the trouble was i couldnt,,, i did contemplate trying for 7 more, but i was drained,, honestly it was a real chore getting back out to hang the bunnys for the pic... its so cold up on that top.
  13. im supriced at the few people that think its easy ,,, let me just add we were at it from 9 pm til around 4 am,, then driving round pic up points, then hanging them on the gate ect,,,, left the land at 5.30 am,,,,, stoped 3 times on the way home to sleep,, arrived home at 9.30,,,,, its usualy a 2 hour drive. YEP REALY EASY CATCHING 100 RABBITS WITH A DOGS

  16. had a cracking night last night with poacherspocket, and his sons frankel, and ginnyspinner frankel had don, and ginnyspiner had the labradoor ,,, the plan was to drop frankel and ginny on one farm whilst me and pocherspocket did a difrint one with just my dog venus, and poacher acting as bag man for me well our night actualy started slow with us struggling to get 10 in the bag,,after this though things started to pick up , and they came in pockets somtimes thik and fast ,, some of this land we were on, we hadent done befor and even though its so late in the season they are stil th

  19. unless the ferrets can get on each level on those hutches,,,, in my opinion there to short. a 3-4 foot hutch i honestly belive to be to short.. i think they look quite well made,,, i just think a hutch should be at least 6 foot long and a min of 2 foot wide.... just my opinion
  20. yep mine will open up when flushing hares to the gun in daylight,,,, on the lamp she is silent,,, wierd i know...........i have herd of others that open up as well, i know a chap that got rid of one for opening up constantly on rabbits... mine can also be agresive with small dogs,,, shes a fecking bully...............i dont think there a suitible choise as a first lurcher,, mind i dont think half cross collies are either.. all these negatives are not good i know,,,, but by god as she put some gear away,,,,

  23. the soil conditions in the ground dictate the codition a rabbit will be in after its cought ,, not the fact its been dug.... i have bolted rabbits that have been filthy,,, because of the soil yousualy being very wet,,,, hell ive even bolted rabbits with water running out of some lower down holes,, however ferrets can be very reluctant to enter such places, and who can blame them. in very dry sandy conditions like this dig was, why shouldnt it come out clean.. heres two gingers from one warren a few year back . this was the warren under a licolnshire stone wall
