also to answer that question properly......my goalposts have changed a bit as well.....I don't lamp as much as I did....so my little ferreting bitch is ideal well for ferreting ....but I could do with something a bit bigger faster to have a few daytime spins on other quarry

just looking at this thread and this pic again and remembering Venus at her peak fitness in her prime...she was 4 in this pic...this pic was taken on the Tuesday morning after catching them through the night...after the lamping me and vin went ferreting just after this pic....I had Wednesday off ...Thursday night sore me Venus ...darcy and his dog up there again..catching with Venus catching the 42/3...Friday she had off and Saturday sore me and Venus heading out for a daytime race on the seed...on some big flat arable land not far from me.....she had 4 runs that Saturday morning killing 3 of

Just remembered another little story from them lads juckler. ... There was another big rum fella...who's name is can't quite remember. ..think he was bull farm way... Anyway he was always bragging any way this particular day it was about his net making skills...so one of the lads bet him £30 he couldn't knit a 100 yard long net in a week. ..so he gave the lad a load of twine and draw cord and the bet was on....so the bragged set to work and sure enough the 100 yarder was completed. ..he must have done 8 hours everyday. ...so the lad congratulates the bragged and hands over the 30 qu

There sure was some characters in Woodhouse. ...you mention big Ian neighbour pete.....was that Pete.W If it was he taught me and my poaching partner how to home load... I remember one day myself my mate and some of the Woodhouse lads had our own walked up shooting day....maybe 8 or a dozen of us...just up peafield Lane. ..God knows how we got away with it....

My mate Gary was in that club..forever telling me story's. ...I remember him telling me how they kept a garden cane with a pin in the end.. so when the bar staff went round to the lounge side they used the cane to nick packets of fags from behind the bar...
