  1. Walshie if I were you I wouldn't mind a creationist commenting, because it puts what you have been reading about in the god delusion into practice and shows the reality of how these people think/can't think. I find it interesting to see how people who rely so much on faith to enjoy their lives react when that is put in jeopardy and the field marshall is a great example. The reason he is so assertively denying evolution is due to insecurity in his own beliefs and therefore wants people to reassure him. He knows for 100% fact that his own beliefs only rely on faith and this used to be enough
  2. Aye tis true, but this was mostly over 6000 years ago and it was a slow process as expected, not caused by rain and it never covered the whole world. There are a lot of things that annoy me about religion, but one of the bigger ones is how they can't see their religion is man made. To believe it you also have to believe God made human beings around 250k years ago, left them to die on average at 25 of horrible things like tooth infections for most of it then he suddenly decides to send himself in human form to a remote, illiterate desert tribe in the middle east to be killed and reborn agai
  3. If I broke a mans biscuits I would do a runner too, they were probably set to take hostages until they crossed the line with the biscuits, even scum have some sense of decency. RIP Hobnobs I told my mrs about this and told her what I would do, she said my life is beyond a joke now...so I picked up my chicken and crossed the road.
  4. I know you have written me off since I assumed wars were involved in the millions of deaths supposedly caused due to a belief in evolution. However could you answer a few questions as I am genuinely interested in how you rationalise it. Although I admit that I have debated with dozens of creationists and they will never, ever change their minds about anything so I am not looking to preach to you. Firstly, if you do believe in evolution what is your interpretation of this photo, showing the stages of human evolution: If you follow the bible as true, do you believe the Earth is less
  5. Are gorillas not apes and do the not live in grassy fields?. What triggers evolution to slow down or speed up, crocodiles could have evolved to be faster on land or not breath air? All organisms and animals are true survivors what makes anything better than another at surviving? and why do things that turn bad also turn black..........like yellow bananas Bit of a misconception that one Paulus, no animal alive today is 'more evolved' or 'less evolved' than anything else. The crocodiles alive today are very similar to their ancestors but they aren't identical and there are
  6. I agree with what Darren says above really, in the countryside there are no problems but those who live in the city generally differ, either because they don't like to think that their food once lived in a field or they just fear guns through the wrong exposure. Things have changed even in my short lifetime (25 now, talking about 10-12 years ago), as when I first had rifles we had no bother walking through villages carrying them on the way to shooting bunnies. The only attention we go was the odd person asking if we could sort out a pigeon in their garden etc. I am not condoning it but you

  8. Ironically, that's how the church is towards non-believers. However, unlike the Church, he can offer explanations of why he believes he is right ! All they have is 'because the Bible says so'. And let's be honest, most religious types these days are dangerous idiots ! Blackbriar, who or what are you referring to as "the church" you are not all that specific. . and let me tell you, if you believe in the theory of evolution your just as religious as the chapel folk. . You have faith in that which have not seen and you live your life according (by and large) to what you believe. . Be under
  9. They look familiar, I think I bought four at the Midlands game fair years ago. Defo very similar, frost high carbon etc and they are good for £10 and was even better at 4 for £20 back then, good knives
  10. However, the Flying Spaghetti Monster doesn't count because that is fact, you can't prove he doesn't exist so therefore he does
  11. Yeah read it and love it, I agree the selfish gene is amazing also. I am a massive fan of the late Christopher Hitchens though, if you watch some debates on youtube and compare Dawkins and Hitchens, Hitch is another league and I don't think Dawkins would deny it. I am on the last chapter of 'God is not great' and it's a good one, but you will need a dictionary
  12. Cheers everyone, I think he's alright but I am a bit paranoid as I had a dog before that had a cough and it ended up being lung cancer (about 10K vet bills later) so I just want to be careful. He was fine yesterday as it was cool, so I will stop worrying about it now.
  13. I would like to keep a stag and a couple of hens but I am not sure on the right names and terminology to make an informed decision, I am basing it just on what I like the look of but there are a lot to choose from so I am probably missing the bigger picture. For examples can people post pics of their own aseel and similar types etc and please explain what made you pick that particular type? I would like to invest in decent bloodlines as I would like to raise some chicks and know there are homes for any extras. My girlfriends grandad could probably help source the best stock (apparently qui
  14. Yeah he passes stools like a champion (not runny), in every sense he is absolutely fine and eats well with a good appetite. He runs around after rabbits etc like he always does and this is why he hasn't been to the vets, I am wondering if there is anything else that maybe he sensitive to. He has been wormed regularly and was last wormed only a week or so ago, so I have ruled that out unless the medication I got from the vets isn't very good. Cheers for all the replies and help, now its cooler weather I can see how he goes, then vets tomorrow if there is any sick tonight because last night
  15. I have seen him eat grass a few times yes, so I thought maybe he had a bad stomach from drinking water from all the horrible ponds around here (proper boggy peat ones, black water sometimes). But the sick is usually just a clear liquid as if he had an empty stomach, not often anything in it...might be yellowish but it's hard to tell on the carpet to be honest. its possibly just a build up of bile. is he only being fed once a day? and is he on a RAW diet? Not on Raw/BARF, but I do want to move him to a meat only diet quite soon but at the moment he is fed twice a day on a working d
  16. Not sure about full on sunstroke but he doesn't seem to do too well in the sun, but has taken to basking in it by the window so I have started closing the curtains because I was sure that was why. But then that doesn't explain last night as he had already had his last walk of the day and was just randomly sick

  18. I am going to take my dog to the vet soon but I am not sure if I am just paranoid and would ideally not waste money. My dog has been sick on occasion, which I have just put down to various expected things like him drinking right after running around in the sun, or ate something a bit dodgy on a walk. He is a bit of a dirty b*****d and might eat things I don't notice, so on the odd occasion he has thrown up a bit I have no worried. But yesterday he was sick three times, all liquidy and so I was going to get him to a vet today just to see if they could offer advice. But then I doubt myself a
  19. I know this isn't going to go down well but personally I hope it stays up, for two reasons. Firstly for freedom of speech, everyone needs to have the right to say what they want even if it offends others, for example just look at all the threads where Muslims have silenced people and how you felt about that (or think how f****d everything would be if no-one had the right to offend anyone). Also secondly, how do you think most people will react to a page like that? They are doing more harm to their own cause by showing themselves to be a bunch of twisted b*****ds, so I am all for it.
  20. Different hunting requires different skills, each to their own I can't see the need for competition and comparison and a lot depends on the land you hunt on. Having said that, at school I would get in to similar debates with a mate of mine who used to shoot his dad's FAC and we had friendly banter, ie he mocked my air rifles, so we would argue if it took more skill to shoot further or stalk closer. I still stand by saying stalking is harder and shooting deer is the easiest thing in the hunting world
  21. well if your dad getting on a bit, he wont really want a big powerful dog will he .? So why not get a collie size type dog from the pound, as long as it makes a noise thats all its got to do, and some collie type dogs are very good guards, some round the farms will+ do bite . How's and old man going to give a collie enough exercise? It would be a huge responsibility, poor man probably wants to put his feet up at times...not that some older people aren't very active it's just not that likely. They are deffo good guard dogs though I wouldn't deny that. Any dog would do the job, no ne
  22. I'm the opposite to many of you, I like my dog to meet as many others as possible and know how to react if the other dog isn't interested (only with dogs off lead and I live in a small village so I see the same people/dogs all the time). Shit happens, my dog has been snapped at by quite a few terriers owned by decent owners but he knows to just walk away from them, but it could be very different if my dog wasn't such a soft little coward. I don't get annoyed by the odd grumpy dog, but I did get very wound up with this daft old woman with a greyhound who started screaming from about 200 yar
  23. Another person nearly bought it but had to change their mind because this isn't the 'm' version...I am out of the loop as I didn't think to mention it so my fault. So to be clear the collar is the older model where you need to remove the batteries after use. I will take £+p&p for a quicker sale. I can send photos if anyone wants them

That's a bit much isn't it? Sounds like a newspaper headline "owning a bull breed is like owning a gun". People need to stop blaming breeds when any decent dog owner can see it's always down to the owner. Just because small men want a hard looking dog to hide behind doesn't mean it's the dogs fault. Also, there is nothing wrong with letting kids around a dog of any size, what gives you such opinions that you are so judgmental of breeds instead of the scum on the other end of the lead where the blame really lies? Please don't say that I 'clearly don't know what a true gamebred dog acts like' e
