Thanks mate yep I had it half and hours then went to the vet had it checked over and brought it back I could have left it with him but he said if he coulnldnt find anywhere he'd give it to the police and obviously it would be dead within 24 hour and no way was I letting the dog go anywhere until I knew it was safe and well i edited my thread mate then read your post.......to easy to say what we would of done without being there in the situation you were in ........you a decent lad for sure.

fair play pal ,........i would of taken it straight to vet and made sure it was disease free .........before it came to my place ........ could have anything .....highly infectious..... depending on what the out come was on professional advice ,....she may be better off put to sleep ,...... you done a decent thing but as said you could have a alot of on going problems and if people are chipping in to help the dog and the money can be genuinely vouched for i would be willing to chip in........ its hard to believe that any body could do this to any living thing...........cruelty at the highe

what makes me laugh on the internet is how people can come too conclusions of who you are after a few sentences.................after a few sentences they know how old you are ,.........what you have done ..........if no one knows you ,,.....they hate it .... maybe they should be on facebook if they want to know everything about you.........lol

now years ago when health regs were below par and so were enviromental relivence,.......it amazes me that some thing with that kind of food source to feed all those rats could really get to that level of an enviromental issue as of this day and age..........seen photos years ago with pallets stacked high with rats but these days are few and far between . enjoy what you can and i think any dog would be overwhelmed with those numbers running around...........thanks for shareing

i know what you mean pal, he had a block of 6 stables on his land and one of the people brought a bit of trouble with him and the stables got burnt down, my dad said no more people on the land , some one later asked if they could keep chickens there my dad said yes then said he will let one small field for chickens . i put an ad up for the land and the amount of horse people ringing was unreal . the thing is these days ,.it matters where it is and around here its one big fiddle ...........its more or less sold before auction........especially land by big farm owners they hoover up anything near there land ..........and the land makes silly money . theres so many factors to consider,.......and if you got two big farmers competing its quids in for the sellar....(hope you and your family are well mate) -

understand what your saying .............but why risk a pup of 7 months ............10 /11 months maybe ...........it dont matter how big a pup is if it breaks a leg ,............the pup could be fooked............... i prefer to run start them older so if they do break a leg at least i have peace of mind that i gave the pup a decent chance .......................god forbid but if buck broke a leg or opened up ,......................ray would be blaming his self for starting it too young.......... i cant see the urgency of getting a pup out when you have another dog doing it with ease.......

Some russels are more headstrong than patts, I don't really think it matters too much as to what breed it is, most important is its from good working stock. depends what strain ,..................alot of these modern russells are huge with obvious alien blood in them and usually bull .......... the small type old strain russells make great bolting dogs

Beddy x Whippet - Really that good?

i got a 1/2 grey ,.1/4 whip,.1/8 ,.beddy, 1/8 collie..........shes a wee cracker that wont say no to any thing and shes shes under .......23" tts ....... beddy in a lurcher with greyhound is a great combination..............i just feel that beddy whips although great dogs .............lack a bit of pace for certain jobs,..........i prefer more aptions in a dogs armory.......... -

Your daughter is a veggie? How has that come about?My daughter is 3 and knows the score. She knows the ferrets and dogs catch rabbits and they go in the pot and loves eating what we catch. She told a girl at nursery the other day that her pet rabbit should be in the oven. Lol. And what did her nursery teacher say about that? Maybe educate her on the difference between pet rabbit & wild rabbit, could cause a wee bit bother otherwise. I've took her to pets at home to explain the difference.
