great stuff ..........i read on here about the scum snooping about after your mutts ..................hope the dog has sorted that problem out .............. put it this way if i ever needed to guard my mutts i would consider something of the same ...............and if it set into an intruder scum i wouldnt be to quick in pulling the dog off ............glad you had a good walk ,.........that wind was bitter today..........

think this is a bit of a problem when people take in dogs for rehoming ..........not knowing what they were bred for ,...... i know it may have to pass tests to be rehomed ,............but working dogs and working breeds sometimes need to do what they were bred for ............ im not saying this is the answer too this question but in generally speaking........ any two dogs mayfight ..........but some are highly strung if bred for work and mentally and physically need entertaining if you cant keep two apart for the rest of there lifes then one will have to go.....simple

for me it depends what there running ...............they have a desire to catch certain things and some quarry just makes them that little bit more hungry......... have a bitch here that will run hard to cover,..........slow down and then work steady in the cover ...........which i think is prerfect

lets be honest,...........questions like this ,........really are a little small minded as you will never get down to the facts ........... every dog is different and every bodys standards are ,.......so its same old same old .......... and you will need to exspereience plenty of hounds from each breeder to decide for your self because trying to decide from a a question on the internet about dogs will only tell you peoples preference and you have to go out and see and make your own decisions...............

i got a camera out the back of mine and me and the kids feed foxes we got three coming in ..........nice to sit in bed and watch them on the tv screen ,.beats anything on telly......were hoping later on she will bring the cubs in.........me little boy loves it..........

I know of a litter of collie lurchers mate if your intrested. Sire is my collie grey X whippet 24 tts 5 years old, he does me alrite , Damn collie grey x Deer grey 26 tts 9 years old , bred to keep one back for the bitches owner. there was seven pups most are booked up but maybe one spare. they should do what your looking for in a dog if you put the time in bloody hell dont time fly ,...........i remember it like yesterday when he was a pup....... -

im surprised ray you have run a 7month old dog on the lamp,...........brick shite house or not .............still very much undeveloped and any injury could prove costly ......... i cant get me head around it if bryn is knocking them over ,.........i cant see why you would of risked a pup...... i am not knocking you ray as i value you as an exspereinced lurcher man ,..............i have an 8 month old bitch here who i know would knock over a few rabbits on the lamp and shes a big lump......... but i wouldnt take the risk mate ,.each to there own ,.........glad the pup is doing what you want.

This might sound selfish, but its far better to spend the last weeks/months as a compasionate husband,family. than it is to be a full time carer. all that extra stress makes a very bad time even worse. speaking from expierence you have made the correct decision. cheers pal

ok here goes .we had her at home as it got to the stage that she was so uncomfortable that the nurses were being called out all the time to jab her.....it got to the stage that she couldnt move her legs and no one could touch them .........so she went to hospital to get scan as they thought the cancer may of been hitting a nerve in her spine........ in hope of radio therapy to ease her pain......they came out and said there is nothing they can do to help her condition (what a surprise). so we were refered to the hospice where after a while she can now move her legs and seems more settled and

you read harcombes coloumbs in edrd ,..........he knows his earths and he knows his dogs and he decides what dog would suit each earth ,............he dont just chuck in any old dog in ,......he takes in considerations such as ,.........size/exspereince/work style/ depth/ occupants/etc etc............... if he thinks an earth is going to be to hard for a pup hes bringing on ,........he will suit it to a more able dog ........ but he doesnt stop there he brings the pups on by gradually building them up to standards he dont go chucking a pup in the deep end........... in my honest opionion a
