  3. Yesterday saw me travel down to Davids to do a spot of pigeon shooting. We set up first of all on a partly cut rape field but soon discovered that the birds were heading for a barley stubble, so we packed up and moved to the barley stubble. The shooting was slow but very enjoyable as the birds decoyed in perfect text book fashion , curling into the wind and gliding into the kill zone We both shot well and ended the session on 54 birds , not all picked as some dropped in standing corn behind us. A really enjoyable days shooting mate .............cheers

We lay in wait in a set a side field below the gorse where the fox was spotted. Well yesterday saw me and David travel to my ground to try for Scottish roebucks , seeing as he let me shoot one of his Yorkshire bucks On arrival we set off down the valley and wasnt long before we got into a buck feeding out nicely in a quiet meadow where I have never seen deer before .I got on my bipod and was looking through long grass , I placed the crosshairs on his neck , fired and off ran the buck . Cursing I realised that the bullet must have deflected off the vegetation , a denial shot really , should know better Anyway the buck galloped off , but I followed him in the cr

  20. I was kindly invited by David last night to try for a roebuck on his patch in Yorkshire . I have never shot deer in Yorkshire before so was full of anticipation. We lay in wait but nothing showed at first , until a young doe appeared , her foxy red coat glistening in the glorious sunshine. We watched her feed for a while before she melted away into the cover. We waited and it was starting to get dark so we stalked down further to where there was some young trees , as we stalked along the edge I spied a buck feeding away from us , so it was rifle on sticks a little shout for the bu
