    Yeah matie..I was using a -400mm excellent quality, but just a little slow..I also have a 70-300mm but rarely use it..This 300mm is one of the sharpest lenses Ive used, with or with out the tc Definately is crystal clear. I use a sigma lense 70-200mm f2.8 with a 1.4x converter. Was thinking of getting a fixed lens about a 300mm. Do you need to use a tripod with it mate? Dont own a tripod matie,,,I might invest in one, one day..

    Squeak is into different things now, no more vids..unless someone makes one with all the footage he didnt use, Ive seen some of this and theres some mint footage..the stuff he classed as un-useable would definately make a most saleable dvd..

    I had one used to pay a vistit years ago to anything I had hanging on my shed, it came over the same gap in the same hedge every time, I bought a ford cortina windscreen from the scrappy for £4, positioned it (as a windbreak for me leeks), and still rembember the sound as the spuggy hawk accidently flew into it

    Have you thought of putting a tele converter on it matie..a 2x converter on that set up and you will still get quality pics, with a 1.4 or 1.7 tc and your pics will still be tack sharp, right from wide open..I have a 1.4 tc on the same set up as an almost permanent fixture at the minute..
