    Cheers for the comments everyone, yes, they are quite underaterd as a colourful bird, but at certain times of the year they can be, and when the light plays on them the colours are quite lovely

    Never seen a smooth first cross deerhound x greyhound yet..but anythings possible I suppose Mrs Rileys Gos was a powerhouse of a dog, but not a first cross..that breeding tree in the book is made up mainly of deerhound crosses, Basil Smalleys Jake and Flame I coursed with many years ago near Seahouses in Northumberland close to where Basil lived at Kyloe, and coused pups from that mating of Jake and Flame, siblings to Mrs Rileys Saker..excellent dogs..Perry Fairfax Ive also coursed with, but later than when he had Flax and fluke..these were supposidly great hare courses, and Ive seen some exc

    I don't like the buggers Bill would rather shoot them with a gun When I did taxidermy years ago, did a few of these fellas, you had to be so careful when cutting aroung the scent gland, one little knick and the smell instantly filled the whole room

    Well done matie,,remeber getting one of these fellas one night with mu lurcher Yella, good little scrappers for their size..but the whole area and the dog were stinking afgterwards..

    The film was bearable without the sound because there voices did my head in If you saw the first one that wasnt sold, with the dogs taking foxes, now there was a one you had to switch off because of the sound..

    I bred quite a lot of goldie x greenies, and their song was so powerful it was almost ear pearcing
