  1. Hi All, Bradley, you have had some good offers of a bit of guidence and I think you would be wise to take them up. As mentioned it will make the learning curve a lot less steep! Regarding hares you've done nowt wrong mate. the land owner of my permission wants rid of them to keep the dog men off his land. Last year he was threatened on his own land for challenging two men running dogs through his sheep, so to be fair, I dont blame him!! Mikey.
  2. As already mentioned try switching the mounts round. If that doesnt work and shimming is required I find that a few slivers camera film negative works well. Mikey.
  3. Hi All, The h4h and the Treats For Troops are both fantastic courses. As a young Sapper on Op Telic (Iraq), I received a welfare package from a similar organisation to Treat For Troops. It contained things such as Haribo, Pot Noodles, Tabasco Source, and the best of all a copy of Razzle Let me tell you it was very welcomed! Both are a very worthy charity and Si, you should be applauded in all of your effort. If there is anything I can do to help please let me know. I am planning to get out with the scope cam so can get some footage accross to you. Kind REgards, Mikey.
  4. Hi Heath, I used to use AA Field in mine (.177). It printed fantastic groups. As Andy says best to try what you can, but im pretty sure AA Fields would be a good place to start. Mikey.
  5. Hi Darryl, They look well mate I would be interested in a hoody for sure. As Davy said, reckon they would look very smart in green. Kind Regards, Mikey.
  6. Hi Lads, I have approx 400-450 .177 Bisley Magnums up for swaps. In return I would like to try Crossman Premier Lights or something similar. Mikey.
  7. Looked an enjoyable trip out Bill. Cracking shooting with the stander and kneeler Kind Regards, Mikey
  8. Welcome to the forum. Good shooting and pics mate. Nice looking bit of kit there also, im sur it will do you very proud. Kind Regards, Mikey.
  9. I would say its definately worth it. If the scope is paralaxed to the distance for that particular, shot there will be no (or little) paralax error. Mikey.
  10. Hi Peter, Gutted you feel like that mate. My sugestion would be maybe a change within the sport. Something like getting accross to a club and trying HFT. I did this a few years ago and now im hooked. I compete in the nationals now and have a good laugh on the way round the course. Im always competing against myself to better my scores and firmly believe Im a much better shot for it. The added bonus is with your Air Ranger and MTC scope you have the perfect rig already so dont need to splash out. Here is a link of a map with clubs accross the country. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/m
  11. Cheers for the tips Davy Mikey
  12. Cheers for the kind comments lads Mikey.
  13. Bloody hell moxy your freezer must be rammed full!! Mikey.
  14. As above really. If you decide to go and ask personally (as I do), dont go in your shooting gear. I take proof of insurance and make sure Im very polite. Also dont forget, once you have secured the permission, keep the landowner sweet! A bottle of whiskey at Christmas seems to do the job for mine Mikey.
  15. Cheers Darren, It was quite a cheeky one but also very rewarding! Mikey.
  16. Hi Lads, Here is my first attempt at rigging my camera to my scope. Had a little plinking session and then decided to take a mooch round to the other side of the permission, to see if I could bag a bunny. The first bunny was a 30 yarder. After uploading the vid I realised there was another bunny there which i never saw through the cameras viewfinder. The second was on my way back to the van. It had spotted me so didnt want to risk it bolting by getting closer. I ranged it at approx 45yds, which is one mil-dot on my R10, rested the rifle on my home made shooting sticks and bagged numbe
  17. Cheers Lads, Put it through the chrono and found it to be possibly the most consistant rifle Ive seen! Not bad for an un-regged rifle. Have often seen the GML's on the HFT rounds and gazed adoringly from afar. Now I own one! I have adjusted the trigger settings to my likings and its breaks crisp, one of the finest! Kind Regards, Mikey.
  18. To get back on track lads here are a few pics of my new HFT Set Up. Its a tuned and fettled S400 and is AWESOME. Had it on the range last night and its printing fantastic groups out to 45yds. Chuffed to bits with it and can'w wait to use it in anger! I can see my PB getting smashed and maybe a course clearence Kind Regards, Mikey.
  19. Which ever groups best in my rifles mate. Weight isnt as important as accuracy. I personally use Webley Mosquito Express as they group well in both my rifles (13mm at 45yds indoors through the R10). They weigh in at 7.9gns (same as the Accupells) Air Arms Fileds seem to go well in a lot of rifles as do H&N Field Target Trophy. Best just try a few and see what your Brocock prefers. Mikey.
  20. Keep at em mate. Blood 'orrible things! Mikey.
  21. Hi Mate, Sounds like you have had a good deal. Never had one myself, but would advice Air Arms Fields as these go well in most rifles. If you want a lighter pellet/flatter trajectory try Falcon Accuracy Plus, again these go well in most barrels. Hope this helps, Kind Regards, Mikey.
  22. Hi Mate, I'd say £300 for a full PCP set up is a bargain. The Scorpion is also a very accurate rifle. If you dont have it off him, give me his number and I will!!! Hope this helps, Mikey.
  23. Nice Pics Shay, Like the look of the Stealth with a bit of furniture on it! Mikey.
