  1. Yep good footage Daz, always good to see a Grey getting a pasting! Mikey.
  2. Hi Peter, Best bet is check the scope crosshair is square. Using a plumbline and a level on the action. If you get stuck PM me and we can have a chat. Edited to say it could also depend on your scope settings eg Parralex error. And regards to mounts Sportsmatch are rcognised as good quality mounts but still at a reasonable price. Again Ebay is a good place to source them. Mikey.
  3. Hi Sean, No probs pal glad to help. Just to add them mounts on ebay were the only 13mm ones i could find, so if you dealer cant get them they are your best bet. Regards, Mikey.
  4. Hi Pedro, 3mm isnt to bad, not enough to cause major issues. Pretty sure the problem would be either the scope canted in its mounts, or the rifle is canted when firing. Bear in mind you may not think the scope is canted in your mounts, but you may be canting the rifle to compensate making the cross-hair seem horizontle. Have a look at this very good video, after watching this, this is now how i mount my scopes as I used to be a 'serial canter'. Now i know if my sight picture is horizontal, I am not canting the action over. Hope this helps. Mikey.
  5. Hi Vizla, As has already been sugested, its either canting, scope canted or mounts. Something to take into account for BSA shooters is the scope rail is 13mm rather than the 11mm of most air rifles. I have found this has effected my scope on the R10 in the past. I now use these mount which centres my scope perfetly to the bore. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SPORTSMATCH-TO6C-1-13mm-Dovetail-Rifle-Scope-Mounts-/260797364308?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item3cb8bbf854 A good way to check if the mounts sit correctly on the rail, is to put one mount on the rail on
  6. Its pretty much process of elimination. If the groups from my R10 start to open up 99/100, the barrel needs cleaning. So my advice would be even if you dont think it needs doing, do it anyway and you at least know for sure it isnt that! Next would be check scope mounts, unlikely to work loose on a pcp, but an easy check to eliminate that factor. Also another easy elimination as Phil mentioned is the stock bolt. If none of the above have tightened the groups, run it over a chrono. If it is inconsistant it could be a bit of crud in one of the seals, or the hammer and rail might need de-c
  7. Cheers Lads, Have Frontlined him this morning. Just checked over him and seems to have done the trick for now. Will order one of them Tick-twister's, they seem just the ticket. Many Thanks, Mikey.
  8. Evening All, Last night I noticed a black insect looking thing around the groin of my dog. It looked very much like a small beetle. I didnt give it much thought thinking he jus picked it up on his walk. I have just checked him again tonight and it is still there. Will pop out tomorrow and get some Frontline and hope it budges it. Any ideas what it is and will Frontline do the trick? Kind Regards, Mikey. P.S sorry if its a daft question, just never come accross this on him before!
  9. Hi Tony, Think this may be what your after mate. http://rowanengineering.com/products10.htm#daystateguards Kind Regards, Mikey.
  10. £350, dont know where he pulled that figure from!! I used to have a Daystate MK3 (sub 12ft/lbs ) and that was pretty simple to service myself. The X2 is a similar action. I just brought a few seals off Ebay for pennies and did the work myself. I replaced the seals gave it all a good de-gunging, and polished the hammer. This link may help but its for the MK3, but dont think there will be many differences. http://www.freewebs.com/stripdowns/mk3sstrip.htm Hope this helps a little. Mikey.
  11. Looked a cracking trip, nice pics mate. Kind Regards, A jealous Mikey.
  12. Yep that must be the case Mole, I tried one and was gutted. It had the potential to be a belting springer/rammer, but just wasn't. Trigger had noticeable creep, bluing was poor but on the upside the action was reasonably smooth. So maybe a DIY trigger tune/ sear polish would sort it. Mikey.
  13. Bit long winded Bust! Good shooting bud. Mikey.
  14. Hi Elliot, Thats exactly why I made a set. Couldnt get clear of the grass using the bi-pod so the sticks were ideal! I just used some green garden sticks from Focus and a piece of old bike inner tube, sorted for a fiver! Mikey.
  15. Top shooting there Bugs, nice shot placement! Looks a lovely permission. Have made a set of shooting sticks myself as per the same design. Makes kneelers and standers easy, giving a dead steady sight picture. Cracking write up, got to be worth a SP! Mikey.
  16. Hi, If you look on the very front of the front lens bell, there should be a ring. It may have writing on it like the scope make and model. Try and unscrew this. If you can not do it by hand its likely it is glued in place. If this is the case get some heat on it eg hair-dryer. Once heated try again using a towel wrapped around it. Once this ring is off it should expose the adjustment ring. Simply set a target out at required distance eg 30yds, turn the mag to highest setting, and turn the adjustment ring untill the target snaps into focus. To turn the ring you may need a tool such as a
  17. Hi Davy, Lovely place to shoot mate. I shot there in the English open last month. It was a cheeky course with cheeky conditions. Sadly have other commitments next weekend otherwise I would of popped down. Im sure it will be a great event. Kind Regards, Mikey.
  18. Hi Lads, The Nutshot is shit hot Daz but as mentioned if you arent one of the lucky few they can take a while to get. Hopefully if he outsources manufacture they will become easy to get hold of (I know I would have one!) I have heard a Uk neil silencer and its as quiet as my Weihrauch one to my ears anyway! Hi Darryl, I can assure you Neil is all above board. I deal face to face with him as he doesnt live all that far from me. He also manufactures other items such as air-strippers which many of the top HFT and FT lads use. Mikey.
  19. Evening All, I only have one regret in my life. I knew my Father was dying, but i didnt tell him I loved him, and how proud I was to be his son. I remind myself of this everyday and leave nothing unsaid. Six years on and I still feel as much grief as the time it happened. I have never told anyone this before, and why im doing it on a forum I dont know. Suppose i need to get it off my chest. Kind Regards, Mikey.
  20. Hi Deano, The bloke you want to speak to is called UK Neil. He will machine you one to the diameter of your barrel. His work is second to none, and from my experience as quiet or quieter than the other silencers out there! I will soon have one on its way to my R10 when funds allow! Drop me a PM if you want his number. Kind Regards, Mikey.
  21. Cracking write up Duncan. Always nice to get out when the pressure is building at work! Kind Regards, Mikey
  22. Nice trip out. Always good to get a decent bag after a bit of a lay off! Good shooting mate. Kind Regards, Mikey
  23. Hi Mate, Get some heat on them. If you dont have a heat gun a hairdyer should do the trick. Get em nice and hot and try undoing them Hope this helps, Mikey.
