Hi, Davy. If I can, I'd love to come back down. Sounds like it could be a giggle! Not too sure about the church thing though, last time I was in one the font boiled as I walked past... Cheers.

Don't shoot yourself, Aaron, self-harms not the way to go. It will get better one day.

I looked into ways of doing it with or without the Theoben pump but decided against it. In the end, I took it to Wighill Park Guns who sorted it for me. Cheers.

Hi, mate. I changed the barrel on my 90 from .177 to .20 a couple of years back and you do need to have the ram pressure altered to stay legal if you're going up in caliber. It's only a ten min job to swap barrels but the ram can be a pain in the arse to get right. Didn't know you could get a .25 barrel for them though... Cheers. Edit to say... Hull Cartridge Co. import HW. It was the only place I could find for a new barrel and it took four feckin' months to arrive...

Q. about AA s410 classic
andyfr1968 replied to Fieldsporthunter's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Hi, mate. I've only had mine for 6 months or so but here goes... 1. Rubbish in mine, reads 20 bar high. 2. As has been said, 100ish bar. 3. Logun Penetrators and H and N FTT's work best through mine (.22). I use RWS Superdomes for plinking as they have the same POI as the Loguns at zero range but don't cost a fortune. 4. Mine won't shoot for sh*t with Eley Wasps. 5. Don't let it stay wet for long. The blueing's not best and if you put it away even slightly damp, it'll rust like a m-f-er. I'm well pleased with mine, overall. Very good bit of kit. Cheers. -
webley nemisis!!
andyfr1968 replied to wiltshire-trapper's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Hi, mate. Is that the single stroke pnumatic? If it is, it just may need a little bit of the correct lube as it sounds like a seals maybe gone dry. Don't know what lube, so you'll need to find out. Hope this helps... Cheers. -

Help with Air Arms TDR please
andyfr1968 replied to sibaldib's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
If the silencer's mount's not true, then just swapping them won't help. Try it with no mod on and it'll soon tell you if that's the problem. Good luck! Cheers. -
Weirauch Hw77 .22 power
andyfr1968 replied to FirstBlood's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Is that" no other difference in power"? I`m just wondering that if i do that, i may be decreasing the ability of the rifle in some way.Surely if the manufacturers saw 12ft/lbs spring suitable ,wouldn`t they have put one in?I`m quite confused now. Sorry Bud You have a full power 77 that was made for markets with no power restrictions so you need to reduce the gun's power to comply with the UK's limit of 12ft-lbs. To do that you'll need to fit a UK!!!! spec spring as it's a little weaker than the standard one that HW fit for countries with a higher, or no power limit for airguns. -
Spring Air Guns
andyfr1968 replied to blackstairs boy's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
The 90 is made to produce around 20 and the 52 is made to make about 26ft-lbs, they are de-tuned for the UK market. Most springers are by simply fitting a weaker spring at the factory... You guys and a lot of Europe don't have the power restrictions that we do over here, so the guns are made to their optimum then castrated for the UK. What you buy in Eire should be whatever the gun was ment to be and not a UK spec weakling. Cheers. -
Hi, mate. JSR 2-7x32. Cheap as chips, clear as you could want and will last forever. I've used one for years and knocked the crap out of it. Still works perfectly. Cheers.

Weirauch Hw77 .22 power
andyfr1968 replied to FirstBlood's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
You asked this a little while back. An export spec 77 will give around 18ft-lb. All you need to do is fit a UK spec spring. There is no other difference. Cheers. -
The Pro System's the one I had on the Xocet I fetched to your place. Basic but on a springer works fine. Cheers. PS. Forgot to post those pellets this week. Sorry, I'm rubbish! Will get them out to you this next week. Promise.

Spring Air Guns
andyfr1968 replied to blackstairs boy's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
The bloke lives in Eire. He'll need a licence for any sort of gun. No power limit there, just no licence, no gun of any sort. Cheers. -
Hi, mate. I use Webley's own brand on my Xocet and it works well enough. I think the Excel has the same barrel. Cheers. Edit.... Just re-read your post. Our lovely 'masters' changed the law a while back so you can't buy them mail order any more. Maybe that's why you cant find one on the net. Gun shop's the only way, unless you can find a private seller.

If you can get hold of a really good early one that's UK built, then yes they're ok. All of them now are built in Spain (have been for a long time now....) and are crap. Badly built, rubbish triger, twangy as a m-f-er. Not too clever at all... Take a look at Webley or HW. Far better. Good luck with whatever you go for! Cheers.

Air Ams S200 Pellets
andyfr1968 replied to Jamie93's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Hi, mate. Don't know about the 200 but my 410 shoots best with Loguns and H and N FTT's. It also really likes RWS Super Domes which I use to practice with as they have the same impact point as the Loguns at my zero range, but are far less expensive! Cheers. -
webley xocet .22
andyfr1968 replied to ferretman16's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Hi, mate. I've got one in .177 with a gas-ram fitted. Shoots really well! Can't fault it for what it is. Cheers. -
Hi, mate. The full power 77 should give you about 18 ft-lbs. The only difference is the UK spec guns have a weaker spring, so you'll need to fit one. Easy DIY job on those. Cheers.

Spring Air Guns
andyfr1968 replied to blackstairs boy's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
You should be able to buy an HW90 and kit easy for that price (used), gas-ram and made to produce 20ish ft-lbs (22). I picked up a nice 52 a little while back for £120.... Cheers. Edit to say.. If I was to go for the high powered version of either gun, and I've had both, I'd go for the 52. It really does shoot very well at the 'export' power. The 90 shoots like a tw*t at those levels. Too much recoil. -
Spring Air Guns
andyfr1968 replied to blackstairs boy's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Hi, mate. Have a look at the RWS52. I had one on ticket years ago that with just a gentle tune gave 32ft-lbs with Crossman Premiers. Even at that power the recoil was no more than most 'normal' springers. Don't be put off by gas-rams, mate. The ram is only a type of spring in the way it works, still self contained, not like a pre-charge. Good luck! Cheers. -
Hi, folks. Just posted on a thread about fixed vs variable scopes and it made me wonder why I can't seem to get a half decent scope of that spec, or there abouts. I have a very old EB 6x44 that I really can't fault that lives on my cross-bow these days. Can anyone recomend a good airgun scope of around that spec?? Cheers. Edit to say... The reason it's on my crossbow is the ret's very slightly broken. Can't blame the scope, my fault. Long story...
-
I wish I could find a good fixed 6x scope for a sensible price, 44 ish mm but I can't.... I've got zoom scopes on all my airguns but 6x is what they always stay at. Cheers. Edit... Field use. If it can go wrong, one day it will and also it can confuse folks with range-finding, mucking around with mags...

Cleaning pellets ?
andyfr1968 replied to NEWBIE1980's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Don't put WD40 anywhere near your pellets, it's kerosine based and will ingnite under pressure like a f***er!! Bad news for an airgun... I've never really bothered useing lubes, on pellets (a-hem), but some folks swear by them. I have tried them but I really could'nt tell any diference. If you're going to try them, stick to the lubes that are designed properly for the job. Cheers.
