  1. Just 'cos it fits your mate's gun does not mean that it'll fit yours. As has been said, it may not line up with your gun and the pellet may be catching the mod on it's way out. Also what gun are you useing? The point of impact will change with any airgun but it'll change far more if you're useing a spring gun than with a pre-charge or CO2. It's the way the guns recoil that matters. Cheers.
  2. 50 yards is pushing it a bit for any sub FAC airgun, never mind a lightning. If you're a good shot (really, I mean. Leaving egos and BS out of it!), 40 is a more realistic maximum. Cheers. PS.... For what it's worth, no, light pellets slow down much quicker than normal or heavy pellets so they are not best for those longer shots.
  3. Thanks, folks. You could send them to anyone, anytime! You can say whatever you want on and inside the cards. For a bit of fun, if you see what I mean.... Cheers.
  4. bumping is not allowed,so you bump again , i bump it to the deleted section sounder Sorry...
  5. Out of all the guns mentioned, I've only used the BSA, Davys HW100 and and an FN19. The Falcon was such a long time ago, I can't really comment. The BSA I liked, light, came to point well but didn't feel too well built as so many BSA's haven't for long time. I really liked Davy's HW (thanks, mate), very well screwed together and shot beautifuly. Easy to use too but it just did not fit me. I'm 6'2, 14 stone and have long-ish arms. I've handled the Daystate and have to say I nearly bought one but couldn't really justify the price. The high shot count and the way the gun handled near
  6. I'm new to all this PCP stuff, so I won't claim to know more than the very little I do!! Only used AA400 and 410, HW100, FN19, AA200 (a good while ago) and a BSA something (sorry!). I chose the 410c for myself as it just felt so 'right' and is so easy to use. It's got a Walther 4-12x50 30mm scope, AA moderator, walnut stock and it happens to be in .22 as I don't feel caliber really matters too much at the short ranges we shoot at. Mine seems to like H and N Field and Target and Loguns best. Can't fault it! Well pleased!! Cheers.
  7. Davy? Just wondered if you'd tried the pellets I sent you yet?? Cheers.
  8. Thanks for you comments, fellas!! There's more stuff on the way too..... Cheers!
  9. Yes and no. I had the ideas but I'm not from an I.T. or art background, so all the techno and art stuff I've had to get others to translate what's in my head! It's taken quite a while to get where it's at, as I've had to rely on others all the way.
  10. Hi, folks. I'd like to share with you all the fruits of my labours over the last year or so. sick-cards.com If you get the chance, I'd like you all to have a look and let me know what you think. I know I'm being cheeky asking but a little free market research would not go a-miss!! Many thanks. Andy.
  11. I've a Lightning. It's poorly built, has a crap trigger, kicks like a .243, is a pig to work on for such a basic gun and isn't very accurate. Apart from that it's fine....... I fitted a gas-ram to it a while back and to be fair, it did turn a really crap gun into slightly less crap gun. Cheers.
  12. One of the most genuine blokes I've met.

    Cheers, my mate!!

  13. Top bloke!!

    A pleasure to know.

    Cheers!

  14. Ok. Most .20 pellets tend to be pretty much the same weight as an average .22 (12 to 15 grains), so 'cos of the smaller frontal area and (relativley) longer length of the pellet they have a better aerodynamic quality than .22 so they slow down less in flight and hold more energy down range. Fact. They do not fly as flat as .177 because the velocity is normaly closer to .22. You can get light .20 ammo (Beeman, H and N, same thing) but light ammo slows down too fast, so unless you're shooting at close range there's not much point. They do, however, fly slightly flatter than .22 as they ten
  15. Marmite and cheese really does work well but it must be with a mild cheese. It's just one of those combos that go tegeather so well. Even if you don't like Marmite, give it a go. Most folks don't like salt or vinigar on their own but they work well combined on fish and chips, or crisps. Yes?? Cheers.
  16. Blue Brie. Yummmmmmmmmmmm!!!! Asked my girlfriend who said she's not really got a favourite but does not like knob cheese. She's such a snob! Cheers.
  17. Any thing with a mind of it's own is going to do it's own thing one day. Just ask my ex wife..... Cheers.

Level floors and a top class bird!! Have you met my Mrs? Could make some extra cash as a part time job....... Cheers!!
  19. Hi, mate. I've been with .20 for a while now after .177 for ten years or so. I almost hate to recomend this but give ebay a try. I've had all sorts of ammo from there at really keen prices. Give Baracudas a go and if you've not tried Defiants, I'd recomend them too. Cheers. PS. Davy, PM me your address for the ammo you need. I've got some you may want to try.
  20. So you're not going to swap your 410 for my 90?? Damn... Oh yes, .177 or .22?
  21. Splitting my sides now That's CLASSIC Now back on track I agree, the 77 IS a Quality piece of kit Phantom Having said that I did find out that his knob was leaking but I think a new ring would get rid of that problem. I'd just like to add that the blisters on my hand were indeed from cocking my GUN and not from cocking of any other kind. Not at all. Honest...... There must be some other reason for the lower than normal tone of my farts. Ahem..... Cheers. And that my friend is the real reason that you want a PCP, so you too can spend some qual
  22. He had enough and quit the site after getting sh*t from someones mum for inviting the lad out shooting. A shame as he seemed a decent guy. If that's right, it's a bloody shame. There's a real danger that the test subjects are going to end up running the experiment here..... The wrong person left, that's for sure. Cheers.
