    you missed a trick there no need to fit an extra eye as a stop simply cut some 3/16th copper brake pipe into 1/4 inch lengths slide this over the tail end of the snare slide up untill you get to the desired lengtrh and crimp into position job done

    THE ONE,,we use a small 25mm metal tag with a 3mm hole insert the leg of the hoop snare and use a wrap of gaffer tape above and below the tag to secure it then squeeze the tag to lie along side the leg of the hoop very discreet and works

    as of yet there is not definitive legislation making the setting of fox snares on fences illegal the codes of practice are only guidelines and are not the letter of the law yet

    lf you can find some one whos a bit clued up to show you the ropes your on a winner failing that there is a dvd on rabbit snaring available from fourteen acre which will cover all you need to know it shows you how to make set and identify runs and how to catch a few rabbits lol good luck its addictive when you start to catch so beware

    a hare caught in a peg snare held with a 7inch ash peg going nowhere the snare has a stop set at six inches from the eyelet this cause less trauma and stress and if you wish the hares can be released more or less unharmed

    your quite wrong!! any way a drag on a snare is now illegal a stout 7ins peg will hold a hare no problem at all.i use a six strand 24 inches long for both rabbits and hares i know that a good friend of mine uses a 26 inch noose just for hares to good effect oh and just so you know iv snared hundreds of brown and blue mountain hares so i can speak from experience

    i personally wouldnt dilute it. you can add to it with some cooking oil and a little salt to make it go little further and have a more clingable appeal on trees ect , also any fat collected off burgers ,bacon or sausages even old chip shop fat will draw in a fox. good luck

    This fox has been once and had success dont be fooled into complacency .A few well placed snares would be my choice Mind saying that iv had half a life time handling snares of all sorts and practical experiance is invaluable They are opertunist predators and at some point they will be back You can encourage the fox to go where you want him to go make your own runs around your hen huts this may seem foolish but you can catch the fox on one of these quickly alternatively make a bait station in the corner of you garden and snare around that. you can also employ a cage trap these are eventu

    The answer is really quite straight forward look for a working adult dog that doing the job now ask for a trial if its not what you want then dont take it on .nothing hard in that .. Does anyone really sell a quality dog for no reason i know i wouldnt , Well a pup the first year is all about bonding and getting the basics down ,recall retrive ,jumping ect and gradually having a dog thats worth the kennel space ,you get nothing for nothing mate you will have to put the work in some time and seeing a pup you have brought on catching and eager to please is all worth the effort As the saying g

    looks a cracking size plenty of room for them to play in pipes and branches ect ...my ferrets would bite through that chicken wire in a flash iv had to put heavy duty mesh onto my cages to stop them escaping its supprising to see how far they can open their mouths and watch them biting at the mesh to get out lol be good to see the court when you have all their play things in there

    mackeral based lures are the daddys add a few other ingredients and you have a lure that will carry for miles on a light wind and it works

    make the door out of a lighter material and you only need one spring per door then you would get four traps for you eight springs

    two strands of brass or even a thicker single strand of copper would be the best option for you you want the noose to close quick and completely a six strand wire is to slow granted it may catch the odd oap rat but you want a rat every time not empty snares when they have fired also make sure the bender will get the rats feet off the ground or it will bite out and snap the wire good luck
