  1. Magwitch and I went because it's on our doorstep ,so to speak,we were there Saturday ,when the weather wasn't too good, there seemed less stalls and probably because of the weather not much going on outside, maybe Sunday was better? There did not seem to be any activity around the terrier and lurcher rings ,and I felt sorry for the judges and stewards a couple of whom are in a lurcher club I belong to, again down to the weather. For £8 pound it is ok ,not great value ,when you consider a big show like the Welsh is only a pound more at £9, Detling scores because it is mostly inside ,but too many
  2. Supa Dog is a cheap and cheerful food,a good guide to the contents of the grub is how prominent the meat content is on the bag,if its not in the first two or three mentioned in the ingredients its basically a cereal filler with soya etc,,if you feed this give additional meat and bones,I feed Beta Greyhound ,with raw rabbit,, veg chopped and mixed with giblets into a pudding,a couple of eggs thrown in ,cod liver oil caps daily ,in the winter , and as a change a big tin of Pilchards in tom sauce each week. The problem with the cheapies is, as Skycat said earlier ,you end up giving the dogs
  3. About £12.50 a bag?Ive been using it for years,I supplement it with raw rabbit that has been in the freezer, cod liver oil caps and gravy on top in the cold weather.I would recommend it, in the summer I cut it with a low protein meal as the dogs are only doing a bit of bushing daily.
  4. There is the view that terrier blood in a running dog tends to produce hard mouths. There's terrier blood in mine and he usually crunches the first catch then when he's calmed down the rest are usually fairly undamaged. Cheers, D. Smokey ,my blue dog has at least 1/4 beddie in him he never kills his catch, but I did have a dog 30 years ago Max Grey / bedddie/xCollie he had a mouth like a trap .bruised the shit out of everything he caught.
  5. It comes from the fact that the land the final is running on, woodga has taken 50's 60's 70's 's and 90's off regular all through the season time and time again with just a couple of dogs, but marks little following are looking for ways to discredit things, as they know mark ran 4 hours and only managed to hit the low 20's, and as all the people will know that have ran in the comp and had heats, you aint gonna hit the same numbers as a 'normal' night on the lamp, cos things have got to be somewhere near under control, some people are smooth with the whole lamp, dog, rabbit dispatching thing,

  16. I had a collie cross Rocky who would drag his bedding out in the summer and would take it back late evening, he wasnt particularly bright in any other way, a good rabbiter ,won quite a few doubled up stakes but didnt pick up many hares. If he wanted to go out at night for a pee he would come and stare straight into your face and go woof! Then dash for the back door ,still miss him.
