  1. Cheeky sod ,they were beef with horseradish sauce I made them this morning with my own little hands. [before I gutted the rabbits].
  2. Came out allright Pat ,and you managed to keep my belly out of the pics, no easy task!
  3. Ha Ha I wonder how long it takes him to set 100 nets glove and all.And you don't need a peg both ends.Go out with someone who knows what their doing.Like the yellow nets no chance of leaving them behind. I suppose the glove stops all the shit getting under your nails, but taking it on and off all the time would become a chore imo. Magwich and I use the long stop nets more than purse nets these days ,but when I set a purse net I put the peg in first. doesnt make any difference really. The yellow nets are a good idea , as the rabbit can't tell the difference ,and they are easier to spot a
  4. That picture makes me look slightly over weight Pat must be an optical illusion!
  5. Ive used this method ,and my mate still does.Nowadays I use a nylon lead with the clip cut off ,threaded through the collar,I have all the collars marked with my phone no in case a dog gets disorientated and lost. Never had a problem with running a dog in a collar ,before anyone raises that issue, and it can be handy ,if you need to pull a dog off something quickly. The toggle slips are too fiddly imo, especially when refastening them at night. I have another one, a long leather lead with a collar a third of the way ,and a ring stitched to it the other end of the lead goes through it, the f
  6. I have a set of these, they are called Altcar slips, mine are old too, what usually happens is the release cord that runs through the leather tube,up into the toggle, gets worn through, over time,I dont use mine ,just have them on my study wall . study wall...oooooh get you Where would you put them ,on the floor?

  8. People who talk about throwing dogs out of vans don't belong on here.whether they are serious ,or just trying to appear hard men in an infantile way.Tomo has a bitch that occasionaly lets out a yap,she is a first class worker as his recent pics show.and he is my sort of dog man ,not some wanabee tough guy, who does himself and us no favours on an open site.
  9. inan I said most not all and what I said wasnt assumption. The point I was trying to get at was to many people are throwing stones when they live in glass houses hypocrisy I think its called. I agree with you [for once ] Joe , there are of lads who call themselves coursing men ,who dont even have a close season,we have all seen the pathetic pics put up in mid summer, the nudge nudge wink wink ,"my dog retreived this shot hare" ,and in the picture is a leveret. With some smug silly prat holding it up like its some feat. I don't know why night and day hunters have to be at each othe
  10. Tomo,if you were in as good a shape as your dogs ,I would match you with Vitali Klitschko instead of that fat Mexican! I did a bit of pugging with Pat Saturday ,he is up for a return up your end, I only wish I had lamping like yours , good do fella!
  11. If Im included here Joe ,let me say that because I dont lamp hares ,means I condemn those who do, each to their own. I wonder how you know those who dont lamp hares are "out early morning/evening ,as soon as the corns cut , on the stubbles kicking hares up"? I think that is an assumption, not backed by proof. As you know, hares run immediately after the harvest are easier to catch ,because 1. they are not as strong as the winter hares, and 2,.they are somewhat disorientated by losing their natural cover and habitat changing. I don't see why there has to be an immediate divide
  12. I totally agree with you Mark ...the lad was out working his dog UNLIKE most of the keyboard hunters we find on all these forums, jeez ..Well done and the dogs done great cheers mate, every topic you read someone is slaggin of someone,ok a good winde up does put a bit of fun on the boards and of coarse i have been at both ends but its gettin bad now its not a winde up its peolpe purposly slaggin others actions of the lad went out and enjoyed him self ok its not a perfect thing to write about but its better then robbin a granny are sittin on here all night :laugh:you will find most peopl
  13. You know the score Steve,ps Keeping my eye out for a 9mm for you.
  14. Plus the dogs were muzzled . They were discharged but found guilty, [CDW& MP ] as they pled guilty , so they were convicted, no costs ,or fine ,but a criminal record,if you have a shotgun license, or a firearms license ,the likelyhood is that it would be revoked in such circumstances.
  15. Ive seen this bitch run, VERY tidy animal ,and its obvious from the pics ,no expense has been spared on the rearing of the litter.LOVELY PUPS !

Images showing quarry should only be shown if they are legal within your country of origin OR they were taken in conjunction with a legal method i.e shooting. As another note images showing quarry in the process of being killed will be moderated, this is not the done thing on a forum open to the world...At a time when government are trying to tighten the laws further on all fieldsports, its all of our duties to show respect for the quarry we hunt and the way we go about our sport..
