  1. What was the reason you were running in August! What is it to you? who are you the computor police!!!!! If he wants to run his dogs thats up to him!!! No ,not the police ,just someone who ran in season . Summer hares are not remotely the same as a Jan winter hare, and hares run just after the fields are cut are easier ,because their natural habitat and refuge has been removed , so they take a while to adjust to this ,but that wouldnt bother you would it? Obviously seasons dont come into the equation where you are concerned. ps its Computer ,not computor
  2. Having too big a sleeping area can cause this try reducing it ,and sprinkling citronella on the bedding sometimes stops them peeing on it.

  5. This actually refers to their singular method of catching their quarry, to the untrained eye ,they appear to "stumble ", over their prey, and inexperienced dog handlers have stated that they lack nose and only find game by accident. Nothing could be further from the truth, properly brought on ,"in the right hands",these dogs exhibit a cunning remarkable for its deception, they have been filmed walking past sitting rabbits and clapped hares ,apparently unaware they are there. This is the sagacity and stumbling instinct showing itself, the quarry is lulled into a false sense of security, and before
  6. My family have been breeding Suffolk Stumblers for over 100years,they go back to the Sniffield cattle and droving dogs. Pups occcasionaly available.[£500],in the righthands, these will allways make the grade. Is it true that these canny curs will excell at Hedgehogs, er, in the right hands that is? Regards Warren That is correct,in the right hands of course, should a well known" seasoned dog man" like yourself be interested in investing in this unique blood line,I could probably make a small discount, and let a puppy go for cost ,say £450. I can be found at most big Game fairs a
  7. Ah,but my line is tried and tested in the field,[well,a big garden]. You forgot to mention that they "will definitely EXCELL,.at EVERYTHING"... I have had one or two minor hiccups on that score, so have decided to"amend" the advert a few litters have proven to be less that excellent on Rabbit, hare,or fox, but all will take, mouse and mole single handed ,and most will take rat [doubled up].

  13. if you got it kenneled get it cleaned and disinfected DAILY, antibiotics for the dog. DONT take your dog anywhere near other dogs and would stay away from mates dogs and kennels unless your mates might not be very happy. and as a prevention for future reference you can get them vacinated with there yearly jabs its just a spray up the nose just be carefull kennel cough spreads like wildfire Trouble with kennel cough ,there are so many strains ,so vaccination is rarely effective. Keep them inside your own property, and refrain from visiting mates kennels ,as its highly contagious .

  15. You might want to think about getting a rectal themometer, for these occasions ,they can give you a good indication ,how bad things are. A dogs ideal temp should be between 37-38 degrees ,if it goes much above that you have a problem.
  16. I totally agree ,they have cut it down here [Kent] ,but the stalks look like small javelins,no way is one of my dogs reaching down for a pick up on that shit. I will give it a miss till the cold breaks it down a bit.

  21. Once the stopper is healed ,put surgical spirit on it a couple of times a week ,.when you run the dog use vet wrap .You can buy stopper protectors from the Greyhound Shop in Chiswick ,either in leather or waxed cotton. They have velcro fastenings .but vet wrap will do the job, put a bit of cotton wool on the stopper and wrap over it ,my mate secures his with super glue, it lasts out the day.
