  1. Have you tried Lurcher search ? Hope this ends happily for you ATB.Inan.
  2. I'd gladly pay the days expenses to run on your land, lately Magwitch and I have struggled to get a full day in ferreting ,let alone any dog work. Can your farmer ,not help by putting you onto another landowner?
  3. Whin ,I don't know you ,but posters on here who do ,say you are a top fella and do all you say ,and your posts indicate this is the case,so no disrespect is intended. However , I don't think I have ever read a post put up by you that is positive towards anyone else, you appear to allways find something negative in any thread that is posted. The only person you give any credit to ,as far as I can see is yourself . No doubt you know your stuff and have taken hoards of game and fish, enough to put posters like me to shame I expect, but ,this wise, elder statesman attitude does get a
  4. I have been out with Tomo ,and I can assure you there is nothing big headed about him,he has nothing to prove to anyone, and the rest of us like to see the end of day bag.Unfortunately we haven't got anywhere near those numbers down our way , so the bags aren't that big ,and my dogs probably arent as acomplished at their job,you can only catch what's there.Having said that its people like Tomo and Co that make it worth coming on this forum, otherwise it would be just threads about Hancock's dogs the merits and demerits of bull x's and interminable gumpf about jack shit.Keep em coming Tomo!
  5. The dog in my avatar was a Hancock bred dog,he did everything I asked of him ,but was rather withdrawn,so lack of socialising may have been the reason,I don't want to get into the merits or demerits of Hancock ,just to say I am very sorry to hear about your dog ,and hope she has some quality of life up till the end .
  6. Excellent!.I bet if a report of a couple of lads with lurchers walking fields came in their response would be quicker.
  7. Raw Mice Whin? Well you said you hunt most things, only joking.

    Game Dealers

Taking the piss 50p,still you would get a £ bullseye Tomo, the amount your dogs are picking up. Ive never sold game, family ,friends myself and my lady ,plus the dogs take care of my surplus, but then I dont get the numbers you die hards do. A friend of mine gets £1 for ferreted bunnies , he sells to a snake farm. I don't expect I could lamp for 5 hours, and carry the catch as well nowadays, enjoy it while you can , big fella!
  9. That's where you are wrong ,this strain has been in his family for generations
  10. Not in the market myself ,but refreshing to have an honest post with no BS about it,similar to Warren's ad for his terrier cross. All the best with re homing him mate.
  11. Thanks very much for the heads up!
  12. A friend of mine has this problem with 2 litter mates ,they are a year old ,he neglected to get them 100% on the recall in daytime and took them lamping, they catch ok and retreive ,eventually ,but if they miss they can be gone for 10 minutes. He has an electric collar fitted on them now and gives them a mild zap ,they are steadily improving.Really a dog should be 100% on the recall before being taken out hunting ,imo, most dogs will deaf you out when they are on something but hunting up is a no no at night. Pre ban, a Vet in our coursing club had a tidy little dog ,but it was a sod to get ba
  13. A friend of mine had one it looked like a husky cross [strangely enough Burrell has a friend who breeds huskies . The dog was crap ,nasty with other dogs, well till it came to it,lacked pace and bottle and never did anything, another chap, a respected poster on here, had one he gave it away to a pet home, and he is a guy who does a lot of dog work . If you have one that suits you ,good luck to you, no offence intended. What I dislike is all the hype , the" strain that has been in our family for generations" etc ,photos show bitsa dogs of all types ,smooth coated and rough ,tall and short,l

    DOGS

no its not all about catching things your dog wont be able to handle ,it will be about testing you and your dogs for stamina, guts ,and the way they work the light ,they wont have a patch on my or my mates dog ,so hurry up down and then you will see .its a pity you was not here the night before last you would have seen a 11month old dog retreve a fully grown fox in the dark and jump a 5 bare gate with it in his mouth ,like i say whin these dogs are not your normal run of the mill .and i cant put on here what he stoped in its track just before single handed ,but because it was so big the pe
  16. Plenty of substance to that dog,the ground looks a bit hard but as you have your coat off ,perhaps its only a covering of snow?
  17. Classic Arabic killing machine, hope he is as lethal as he looks.
  18. Thats a power house of a dog ,reminds me of one of Don Southerd's, " up and at em's". Terrific depth of chest ,and nicely proportioned quarters.
  19. Great pics as usual P , looks like the dreaded myxie is in abeyance, all ours Saturday were clean, and one was a monster ,must have weighed over 3lbs.Good stuff!
  20. Why do you say she was robbed? Didnt they run out of light and agree to run another day? dont know wether they ran it another day inan but on that run i seen in the final the big dog ink had the advantage over the small bitch and the hare as it was run over heavy plough think it would have been a different out come if it had of been stubble or grass just my opinion Judy was a great bitch some preferred her brother, but Willie Tough said the bitch was better.I have seen some small dogs handle plough a lot better than big dogs, but to be honest Ink was lethal on plough.I have this cou
  21. wish i had seen it in the flesh realy liked that little bitch she was very exciting to watch but so was her conqueror Sniper I never saw them run in the flesh,Judy seemed a very fast into her stride ,up and at em bitch,a knock them about type. Sniper appeared a more classic ,thinking, single handed dog.imo.
