Subsonic .22 and jumping rabbits

Exactly, we have had them suddenly start to "break dance", in the back of my Terrano .Magwitch had one jump over the front once! -
Two (or more) kills with one shot?

Now that's what I call, telling porkies -
If you don't think the Fens are hot then I don't know what to say to you. Operation Countryman is a 24 hr , on going thing with no expense spared. Still I suppose everyone should find out for themselves. if you do go, go in an old banger ,be prepared to say good bye to it ,and your dog, if it comes on top.

Magwitch and I often have this ,we take head shots ,but even with both eyes hanging out like joke glasses ,shot right through the brain, they have done reverse somersaults, and often been twitching with nerves when either of us goes to pick up. -

My hunting partner Magwitch did it once, with his Anshutz rimmy,I was driving my 4x4 around the orchard he was shooting, he fired at one rabbit, I went to pick up and there was another dead behind it. -
Good luck to you Steve, hope the latest developments do not upset your plans.

Effectively unkillable, interesting descrption, I personally think thats where the "skill" comes into it. Courage, hahahaha!!!! If that my friend is "courageous" then dealing with dogs of all types on a daily basis, certainly constitutes bravery!!! The local dairy herd have more fight in them than a half dead beast, exhausted, bloodied and unable to lift his head. I think the video that started this thread, showing a Matador with a horn through his neck and protuding from his mouth, demonstrates that this last sentence is incorrect. I think it demonstra

I posted this exact link in Earthdogs and Working Terriers Posted 25 April 2010 - 09:54 AM My brother sent me this link.... I don't know these hunters so I can't answer any questions...Just thought of how you blokes are always bragging about chasing fox and badgers into hole's in the ground... http://trophyroom.co...deo/lls8ViwJcT/ SGS Clint I understand that you have a deep respect for all animals and your reasoning that all hunting is done to control pests and or problem animals..... That is not hunting that is pest control.... And with fox's and Badgers in the UK pest contr

The object of a Corrida is to show how a man ,armed only with a sword manages,[or does not], to dominate half a ton of charging fighting bull ,putting himself in harms way as he does so. I don't see the correlation between this and an abbatoir where a slaughterman is at no time in any danger, and is merely killing an animal for meat . I usually sit in the barrera seats they are the equivalent of ringside, but nowadays in the shady side if possible. I don't care for rodeos myself, but there you are, different strokes etc.

Using capital letters to try to put a point across is seen as shouting on the internet, you dont need to shout at me. Im pleased you have done a bit of reading, like myself in fact, I find many articles interesting to say the least. Can you prove to me that the muscles in the neck are not severed? See, the thing is several veterinary reports clearly say they are, you can find a couple if you search the net, one is on a PRO Bullfighting website. You can call me names too, doesnt bother me in the slightest, I am not "anti" Bullfighting, just anti cowardice and prolonged torture for pu

OF COURSE!!!!!!!! WAS THERE EVER ANY DOUBT?

No, I dont think digging to Foxes is "sport" I think its necessary to protect stock and wildlife in some cases. I think Fox HUNTING is sport. A very select few are kept as breeding stock (male) thousands of females are bred from each year to supply the demand. Now can you explain why my "severing of the neck muscles" is not correct? If you severed the neck muscles of the bull he would not be able to lift his head at all ,let alone lift a mounted picador wearing leg armour and throw him up in the air, look at the vid again, do you think a bull could thrus

Why do you keep saying they sever the muscles ? They do not. Pics are placed into the charging bull to show his courage in insisting under the lance, and to tire the bull so that his head comes down.Banderillas are placed in the bulls shoulders, they go just under the skin. The Matador should aim to kill the bull by placing his sword into a narrow opening on the top of his shoulders/neck, if the Bull is not first tired sufficiently this opening is not reachable .The reason for the stipulation where the sword goes, is because to reach it the Matador must put himself in danger from the horns, whe

I have three dogs ,all male, I don't keep bitches, two are kenneled together, and they are all loose together ,when I am there. I have had a couple of serious dog fights over the last 40 years and have scars on my arms to show for it , but ,I think we are more focusing this topic ,on the dog that is constantly aggressive without provocation, such an animal is a perpetual liability. I take a lurcher on shoots beating, and am allowed to run the ground game, a dog that wants to scrap with the guns', springers and labs would soon see me booted off the shoot, can you imagine the carnage suc

I agree with this ,dogs that are regularly aggressive to others are an unmitigated nuisance, and aggression towards other dogs has no bearing on their working ability. Two of the hardest most courageous dogs ,I have known ,[both from the Cumbria area ],owned by a very well know lurcherman, were completely chilled out and placid around other dogs, one of them , " Cougar", was a monster on Deer and Fox, had teeth like an alligator ,yet was a sweetheart in canine company,[unless attacked]. Its as though they know what they are capable of and dont need to keep posturing, and showing their teeth. One
