    Yeah the digi stuff on the side is an expensive addition and unless you are into HFT then it is a bit of overkill. Join the owners club and keep eyes and ears peeled. I was deterred by the price but after testing various other makes I couldn't find anything to touch the MK4, I just put the purchase on hold until I'd saved enough - a painful wait but soooo worth it. All the best with whatever you decide.

    Didn't know dears were quarry, the old dears round here are quite sweet, a bit slow on the paths and in the shops but no real bother. Actually, I'd rather have two dogs. Too much of what we expect a lurcher to do is really specialised. Sure a decathlon athlete will put in a good show. But they will never compete against a specialist athlete for the given disciplines. Lets say it is pre ban. An all rounder can do well at hare coursing but never as well as a specialist.     I've got one in .20 My make has a top spec theoben in .20 I choose the Dayaste MK4 over the Theoben. I've never been happier with an air rifle. This gun is so well balanced and the reloading action is uber smooth and quiet. I used to shoot a theoben gas ram and thought thhat was awesome but it is nothing on my daystate. The gun is so well finished, it oozes quality. Granted they cost more but you get what you pay for. These guns are really pointable, the mechanism is SO fast.     Relax you still have a pup on your hands. Collie crosses need a bit of time to mature, wont start muscling up for a few months yet. Take it easy, let her mature at her own pace. She'll have pace enough for lamped rabbits, plus she'll have brains to make it look easy after a season. You dont have a point and run machine there. I'm guessing your mates is a different cross to yours. So it will mature differently and end up with different attributes. If he has gone for an out and out speedster, he may look great for a couple of nights but you'll be out bagging rabbits whilst he's waitin

    I keep mainly french copper black marans and welsummers. The Marans lay the darkest shelled large eggs. Can't be beaten. Nice hens too, fairly tame. I have a big old soft spot for my welsummers though, lovely bird, won't lay as many eggs as most of the hybrids BUT I'll tell you something for nothing the welsummers don't need half the feed. They are much better at scratching around the yard etc for food than most breeds.

    Badgers love em, hedgehogs are like a decent bacon butty or quails eggs to badgers. They can't get enough of em. A few years back we had bucket loads of the prickly fellas knocking about but no badgers. Now, thanks to all the protection efforts afforded to Badgers we have lost of them knocking about but as it goes almost NO hedgehogs. Thats the way it goes. If you dont keep thing in balance then something loses out. I'm guessing people like badgers a feck site more than hedgehogs. Or possibly they dodn't think through the whole lets over-protect the UK's largest natural predator........

    Personally I would think you got two hopes of getting a farmer to buy into that idea. Though if you are dead set on it, approach a farmer with the following proposal off him. ask him for 1/4 acre on a 12 year lease BUT with a break at 5 and 8 years. Then say you will live on there in a static for the twelve years. In the mean time he can apply to have the caravan permission turned into a permanent home. I f he is successful the deal would be he gives you 1/2 and acre to have for yourself or a lump sum. The problem is that if the site is a green field and out side of planning res

    It beats me as to why the good travellers dont sort their own house out. Life would be a lot better for everyone if they did. Dog thieves are scum pure and simple. We used to have a national pigeon shooting day, how about a national dog thief burning day. really hope you get your dogs back.
