If found by da police then they'll probably just get a few hours community service. Scum like this are of no use to society. Find them and deal with them, make sure they can't ever do it again.

Lost my coffee, just spent half hour drying out keyboard. worth it though - still chuckling to myself like a deranged man.

If you are looking for a dog that is going to be great in and around brambles then forget anything with too much whippet in it unless you are a vet and intend to have a few dogs. You need a dog with a great coat. You need a dog with some drive and noe. For ferreting you want a dog with sme brains that camn learn everytime it steps out and for ferreting you have to have a dog with concentration. Lots of dogs will leave the ferrt alone and catch bolted rabbits. Not many dogs will stand over a burrow in a biting northerly waiting for a bolt when things are pretty quiet. Ferreting dogs ne

.177 everytime mate you cant beat the trajectory or more importantly the penetration. Granted you have a flatter trajectory but nothing that significant. Before you swear blind allegiance to .177 take a .20 out hunting and then come back to me. End of.

Ifyou want a .20 then you usually need to ask ahead for it. Most manufacturers do them. Over stateside the .20 is king on similar sized quarry as ours.

If you can get one a Daystate Mk4, worth every goddamned penny and great back up too. Theoben used to rule the roost but the comapny split and they haven't moved forward for a ling time. The bolt action on them is hellishly clunky. End of the day buy a gun you like the feel of. Get yourself into a shop and handle a few, on a range if you can. Just give a Daystate a go whilst you are there.

The trouble is with a .177 and the reason that I stopped using them is that although they have a fantastic trajectory, far too many times I would hit a rabbit with a headshot for it not to drop it. At first I thought this was a one off, changed pellets and still found it to be a problem. I do a whole load of vermin shooting with my airgun and so ended moving to a .20. It has made a huge difference. I honestly struggle with the idea that people still use either .22 or .177 for hunting. I know you can't account for personal taste/preference and it would be boring if we were all the same but

I spent a ling time shooting .177 and .22, now I ONLY shoot .20 there are many pellets out there but there are some excellent ones. Oh and why spend that much on Theoben and kit when you can have a daystate and not pay an excessive mark up (plus dont think Theoben have moved on since BT left). Your choice, enjoy whatever gun you get.

night time. Sorry couldn't resist. I vary it, depends where I am, some of my permissions is bordered by houses so go when folks are asleep. Also vary it has rabbit numbers vary through the night, If I find them thin on the ground I'll change the time.

My friend and I both aquired new airguns in May of this year, he opted for a top of the range Theoben I opted for a Daystate MK4 in a .20. Now bare in mind that for the past 13 years I'd very happily shot a Theoben. My friends Theoben is a very nice rifle and he shots very well and accurately with it. He gets more shots per cylinder than I do. However, the level of finish on the Daystate, the level of consistency, The handling are all far superior. The bolt action is in another stratosphere. I carry a spare mag so I can load one whilst having one ready in the rifle. All my expectation

To be honest I think that as far as the farmers are concerned now the ban is academic. Lets suppose that the ban is lifted. Great and many farmers will let legitimate people back onto their land, sweet. The problem WILL be is that the minority will still drive over the fields, smash fences, abuse and threaten farmers etc. I can't see any farmer being prepared to put up with that and the the small amount of cash the legitimate clubs may give will not be enough. NOR despite what many say will the legitimate people be able top stop the c**ts spoiling it for the rest of us. Going back a

my two 6 month old lurchers first rabbits
Sorley x replied to ebony1's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Personally think you are winding us up, those pups don't lok six months and certainly too young for ANYTHING. But for now they are your dogs and it is your choice. I think running them now is about as silly as it gets but what the feck do I know, I'm stupid enough to let em finish growing before I let em do much. I guess someone will be picking them dogs up in a year as 100% lampers. -
Try putting the pup in the kennel on its own and giving it a treat.Close the door and stand the otherside give it another treat. If there is no noise let the pup out and praise it. Repeat but start increasing the gap between closing door and giving treat. You ned to get treat/praise in BEFORE it yaps. The idea is to gradually increase the amount of time and then start walking out of site and returning instantly to the pup. then increase the gap. The pup needs to learn taht you ARE coming back and it isn't being abandoned. Try also leaving one of the other dogs there with the pup, if

there's no problems with it6 as a one off, repeated inbreeding is when the problems become more likely to increase.
-
if you can afford a theoben then you'd be best off getting a daystate. head and shoulders above all else.
