  1. not laughed so much for years ... Got this sent to me the other day.... Camerons new recruits to change the Conservitive Party...... CLICK HERE
  2. today I topped the gun up to its 170BAR Working pressure, measured out a Target to 30 yds and set up a nice comfortable bench rest, the garden slopes up slightly which meant I was shooting near enough dead straight Line Of Sight.... I went through 5 different Pellet types generaly sticking 10 shots through every target except the first one! the Mag only had 9 in at the time.... question is does this gun seem to Group ok or should I expect more? its not exactly Pellet on pellet as I have heard they should do but will it do? I must admit it didn't produce any fliers as expected and shot
  3. nice one Wrowman , any idea where to get this stuff from mate? as long as it makes a nice tidy job I'm not worried about the price.... Jasper
  4. Shot a couple January 30th on one of the local Cock shoots! for some reason the comercial Guns though out the year wouldn't shoot them but on the cock shoots they was fair game. before then I havn't ate one since the mid 90's but boy do they taste good ... Our's went straight in the oven Gutted and headless with Foil on for about 3/4 Hr, the last 10 with it off...... Can't wait to get some more next season now Jasp
  5. This guy used to breed some Superiors/Sonoran!! I'm pretty sure he still has the same bloodlines if you give him a shout, click on the Harrishawk pictures as there seem some fair lumps on there.... Jasper Falconiformes UK
  6. Cheers Lads for the replies . looks like some good stuff there Malt! I'll get it sprayed up and stick a bit of bike tube over it like Garfiled mentioned to protect it a bit........ Jasper
  7. I agree and certainly have nothing against anyone knocking up a forum and pushing it on others . but we all have to admit there are so many forums around these days singing from the same song sheet we all end up repeating ourselves over and over again, Most forums end up virtually the same when they have been up and running a while weather it be Falconry, Dogs or whatever..... Don't get me wrong alot of these forums are great for meeting people. sharing pictures and gleaming much information if you need it, but some of the posts that do the rounds like the old one "Which Calibre .177 or .
  8. could well be cirulations Phantom! the Monster In Law gets it all year but alot worse in the winter due to poor circulation to her fingers!! mind you I think she's suffered with poor circulation to the brain for years the wife just told me its probably not the same , anyway the thing she has apart from Mixxy is called "Reynauds".... Hope you get it sorted soon mate cheers Jasp
  9. You can't go wrong then pal!! is it .177 or .22? bollox to the car get the gun its a good price ..... have you any pic's of the gun to stick up as someone else might be interested?...........
  10. Its that Girly Calibre which alot of people on some other forums think is no good for Hunting <.177>.......
  11. Top bombing lads , I can should say your lad had a big grin on his face after dropping bugs Bunny dead in his tracks... My 14 year old has no interest! at the moment its Xbox live all the time, its a shame as he only has to open his bedroom window and there's always the odd Rat or two for the taking behind the chicken sheds.... atb Jasper
  12. Can anyone recommend some hard wearing Black Matt spray I could use if I wanted to tidy up my silencer? the silencer fitted on the gun already has a fair few scrapes and scratches on it so I fancied like stripping it and re-spraying the unit....... At the moment it looks like its been in a War zone cheers Jasper
  13. Hello Steve I have one in .177! its a cracking bit of kit and pretty accurate as most of these pre charges are, I can't honest say just because its a Daystate its a better gun than most as I don't beleive it is, with a decent Pellet and the gun zeroed you can certainly put Pellet on Pellet at some silly distances.... One thing that I don't like is the weight! mine with the scope shades a tad over 10LB, its a fair lump to shoot freehand but get one resting on a bypod taking bunnies and lifes a doddle!! one of the many plus's is I get a tad over 230 shots out of this rifle on a 170BAR fi
  14. cheers guys I was happy as larry when I put the post up as everything seem to come together as one! the gun and pellet combination seemed to perform well for once, mind you took a walk today in the snow and drew a blank .... atb Jasp Nice one Davy!! Signed up today Bud with my pea shooter ............. cheers Jasp
  15. spot on Festa!! not many prisoners taken there , shame you didn't live closer mate as I would buy the lot off you for Hawk and Ferret food...... atb Jasp
  16. cheers Pal . I darn't say anything mate about the forth coming season since the move, I don't want to tempt fate as some of these birds still havn't quite settled in their new enclosures, they creatures of Habbit and pretty territorial so moving them into different enclosures has certainly upset them a wee bit but we'll see... atb Jasp
  17. Cheers guys!! I'm chuffed to bits how well that gun shot today with Bisley Mags!! the Girly Calibre did the business today alright Jasp Nice one Buster!! always had a springer pea shooter laying about somwhere but lost alot of Interest for a good few years plus the birds took pride of place, I must admit though mate I'm loving it even if I'm just mooching about on my own talking to myself .... Jasper
  18. Had a few problems with the rifle yesterday going low on power with around 160BAR still in the tank! I thought the valve or somethings gone tits up but it turned out today it was the breech 0 Ring non existent... anyway fitted a new one and went for a mooch around 4pm, for once the sun was shining through the woods which brought some quarry out to play . the Gun shot spot on today and I'm well pleased!! both Rabbits was walked up and shot through the head and both Pigeons because I was shooting high upwards at a angle with plenty of twigs to negotiate was shot under the wing through the r
  19. nearly pissed myself after reading this.... Hello Seffa A good few years back when Harris's was fetching good money a old breeder I knew litteraly would stick sometimes up to 6 Harris's in one 24ft x 12 aviary and leave them to sort out their own pairings. as expected there was always plenty of squables in the aviary as birds sorted out the pecking order but some of his best Pairings was introduced like this, its a more natural selective method of pairing!! Harris's are Gregarious by natures which makes life much easier.... I would be careful introducing them in the new aviary whil
  20. Sounds like fate UM . to be Honest I have been considering selling this gun in Favour of a R10 in .177, this gun now weighs over 10LB scoped and a killer to shoot freehand expecialy when squirrel shooting at diferent angles, the R10 would pretty much be perfect for me weight wise plus it does plenty of shots per charge.... Let me know what you think to it pal cheers Jasper
  21. Nice one Mushroom , they was pretty helpful mate and bang on with the postage..... cheers Jasp
  22. Hello Davy Thats a good price mate compared to what I paid, it worked out £179.95 plus postage. what do you recon to yours Davy? for some reason on this scope the Windage adjustment seems a little stiff compared to the elevation but the optics and Reticle are bang on for all my needs, this gun now weighs a ton expecially when I'm mooching through the woods shooting squirrels free hand! I would say its not far off 10LB all in now..... atb Jasp
  23. Cracking little trees!! the wife picked some up about 4 years ago, <Cherry, Nectorine, Apples> and stuck them in great big pots in the other house!! the fruit we had was quality, they've just gone in the ground at this place ......
  24. They're talking about £650 for the gun. Its not my seen I must admit but it looks a clever bit of kit for a single stroke Pneumatic.... Never realy been a Webley fan but more of a BSA man above most guns. I would like to try a R10 next as this gun weighs a ton kitted out....... Jasp
