  1. Spot on Taff . I wish I spoke to you earlier!! I removed the stock with the Single allen screw at the bottom but struggled a bit until I noticed the way is pulled straight out, it looks like a O ring that grips the stock when the action is lifted out. you're also 100% bang on about the pins!! one was about 2 mil protruding from one side which I pushed back in, I'll drop the stock again later and stick some tape over them .... atb Jasp
  2. Nice one Black Lab for the info! I'll take what you said on board , I'm looking forward to reducing the grey squirrel population in the area mate when I get time .... cheers Jasp I'm not sure Darryl as I got the impresion these Bottles don't unscrew as easily as the Theoben Rapid jobs, I think you right about removing the whip and adaptor! It looks like it will pretty much screw straight on as you said .... the gun is now showing 125 BAR with the gauge on the gun with still no drop off yet, I'll get it topped up and see how many shots in will knock out after a charge.
  3. Yep you're right mate! I rubbed in some Linseed the evening I got it which brought it up a treat......
  4. Beeen patiently waiting for the right gun and finally picked one up a couple of days ago ... I'm a bit pissed off as I can't recharge it until I get a different charge hose, the one that came with the Divers tank is the wrong fitment so I now have to wait until Tuesday before I can pick one up from the gunshop .... the gun had 150 Bar in it when I picked it up and its now down to around 145Bar and not dropped off as yet! has anyone eny idea when they start to drop off before they need topping up? anyway looking forward to getting out and about and joining the "Gay .177 Pre Charge
  5. Outstanding Pictures Lee! definitly some of the best I have seen...... Jasp
  6. there's some great attributes with some Hybrids but some other pairings you just have to say "Whats the point in that"? there some silly one's about like Pere x Kestrel, Prairie x Kestral, Goshawk x Buzzard!! its horses for courses obviously but none of these rock my boat.... Some Hybrids are well suited, Perlins have proved themselves time and time again as have Peregrine x Prairie which have plenty of balls in the field taking on the prairies aggresion, without doubt the Pere/Prairie was one of my Favourites like the last one I had in 2001 getting fit in the pictures! although I must adm

  12. Murdering weight off a young Hawk, Holding it back and inactivity will cause most to start to scream, feeding in the same spot each day can also cause problems, birds can also tend to get a little territorial when food is produced all the time around the weathering area, expecially when a bird is brought down low to flying weight feeding off the fist but held back.... Boredom sets in with all these birds expecially when being held back with their weight virtualy kept at Hunting condition, P/R birds can be set off too this way, hearing other birds screaming can do it! and some while being f
  13. Been with NFU a year now and just got our new policy through, to my disapointment its all changed and I have now lost my "drive other cars benefit". I contacted them this morning and they won't change the policy because their underwriters have decided that they won't cover anyone who drives a LGV Comercial Vehicle to drive another car third party or not .... I'm now looking to change so any recommendations would be apreciated atb Jasp
  14. Took a quick mooch out with the Pea shooter again this afternoon. I just saw a tree rat run off the top of my aviary into the woods at the back, by the time I got there he had run into a large oak tree covered in Ivy, I must have stood there for near on 30 mins before he finally wandered out swinging across to another tree and paused for a look downwards... He met his waterloo bigtime after much patience waiting for the decent shot, he presented himself perfect and was shot right in the top of the cranium! I'm sure the Goshawk will enjoy what he has to offer tomorrow ..... Jasp
  15. Enjoyed that one Davey! top post mate ... sounds like you have your trigger finger well in tune bud. I'm looking forward to getting the new gun and clearing some of the f*****g squirrels up in wood at the back of my aviaries! they're playing havoc running across the tops with the Goshawks smashing themselves up trying to catch them. there was one right at the top of a old Beech tree the other day but would not stand still for a decent shot, Unfortunately he made it to the ivy and wasn't seen again..... they've got in coming though pal big time as well as the pigeons January/February t

It was a good result for the scousers last sunday and I for one expected them to come out the blocks now and fire upto the tops of the table, Beating UTD always fires them up but this time the sparks not there!! looking at the team it seems they need more strength in depth and rely far too much on a couple of star players... Last year UTD did the same and lost to the scousers playing pretty poor across the board.. then the inevitable happend we stormed to the top and won the Premiership , you can see the same pattern happening this year all over again... UTD seem to be past masters of

  23. cracking set of guns you have there John! the HW80 does it for me mate . Is it the MK1? the 's packs a fair punch way above most rifles . couldn't repeat yesterday and the day before's shooting! stood in the woods and took one shot at a squirrel and missed him totaly, also did the same with 2 more pigeon all good clean misses , must have got out of the wrong side of the bed mate but I recon its them horrible big fat .22 things playing up ... I'll be out again in a few minutes until Dark to see if I can make up for my shooting circus earlier.... Jasper
  24. I get the same Bob! sometimes I click on a thread and nothing happens so I go and make a cup of tea in the interval , I even get times when I click on the shortcut to THL and nowt comes up! I then try another site like Ebay and its perfect.... I'm not sure but I think its something to do with Bandwidth from the server! with all these people on here now it must slow the boards down a fair bit. Either way its a pain when it happens.... Jasp
