  5. 100% far from Boring Si! them video's of yours are spot on mate, I for one like to watch all of them and gleam stuff from them..... Just kidding about the Marigolds!! the wife would never let me take them out of the bedroom ........ atb Jasp
  6. That would be a nightmare Nick! they seem good genuine lads willing to help. there's another mail order Gunshop alot closer to my home than BAR which I wouldn't give the time of day, there customer service compared to BAR is the pits Jasp
  7. Very good Si, cracking footage. I must admit you looked a Dab hand with that Hairdryer pal! all you needed now is to borrow my pink Marigolds .... that Prosport is a lovely peice of kit, I like the AirArms quality from the rifles to the pellets!! it would be nice if they produce a Rifle in the future with a Buddy bottle or one that can produce the same shot ratio as the R10's and some of the Daystates.... atb Jasp
  8. Great Gun!! a pal of mine had a Pro Sport a good few years back in the girly calibre but boy was it accurate!! cracking rifle and built with quality, another pal a few years back picked up a AA Pro Elite when I had a Webley Tomahawk!! the Elite was beast!! with some Porting and fitting of some export parts it was knocking out 19ft/lbs, and yes before anyone ask he has a FAC.... this gun was in .177 and destoyed most pellets in the barrel but did settle nice with Bisley Mags and Barracudas.... Jasper
  9. Finally got round to ordering a scope yesterday and after reading through alot of reviews vouched for the Mamba 3-12x44 SCB Reticle, there was two or three different places I thought about ordering it from but finally decided on BAR Blackpool Air Rifles! I belled them yesterday afternoon and placed the order thinking it would be a couple of days! to my surprise it arrived 8.15AM this morning . what can I say!! top service and I'm pleased as punch with the scope, its now zeroed and ready for a mission cheers Jasper
  10. That one was hit with them JSB Exacts 4.52's, to be Honest though Phantom this gun doesn't favour them that much with a good few flyers, I'm now trying a tin of Bisley Mags which seem bang on, I have noticed having to use a bit more Holdover but if they're accurate I'll stick with them ATB Jasp
  11. f**k me its Darcy caught with his Pants down .................
  12. Nice one Darryl Cheers pal , Looks alot of scope for the money! So much for so little......... atb Jasp
  13. Have a good one Davy!! I'm sure you'll have a cracking time pal . for a minute I thought f**k me not another genuine quality lad leaving the forum..... I have to wait a bit longer for my Holiday in August!! first one for a long while but Cyprus here I come, two pals and their wifes are going to so it should be a Blast............ atb Jasp
  14. Nothing wrong with a bit of male bonding chaps useing the small Nancy calibre ....... I prefer a good Little'un over a good Big'un anyday Jasp
  15. I've had .22 springers many years ago one of which was a old Webley Hawk MKII with interchangable barrels, I finally saved all my pennies up from my Goverment Trainning scheme and brought myself a .177 Barrel which screwed straight in and nipped with a Grub screw! since then I have never looked back and much prefer the .177 for all the reason's Phantom mentioned above, plus the Pellets are cheaper ..... I had a good few years away from seriouse Air Rifle shooting although always had a couple of guns kicking about one of which is .22 Vulcan and shoots lovely for a old springer, thankfully I
  16. Cheers Davy/Zini its given me the answers I needed when choseing a decent scope , I noticed this gun sometimes seems way out on shots perhaps shoots a couple of inches to the left, then the next few shots are bang on again! the trouble is I'm finding all sorts of angles shooting these squirrels and perhaps focusing the scope different with my eye! its a shocker when I know the shot felt right only to find the Pellet went to the left or right.... Just out of Interest Lads whats your verdict on the MTC Scopes? I have been looking at scopes for a good while and narrowed it down to a Nikkon Pr
  17. Yep you're right Phantom!! a miss is a miss and a kill is a kill . maximising Kills everytime we squeeze the trigger must be a advantage to any shooter, it seems Parallax plays a big part in that.... Here's another bit of interesting info on the subject Jasper Parallax Link
  18. Ok guys how critical do you think this is to your accuracy? Been doing a fair bit of reading on the subject and its seems its not so Critical with the larger big bore rifles mainly due to the larger Quarry taken with them giving the shooter a larger Kill zone... I suppose from the Air Gunners point of view the quarry has a smaller Kill area! taking a Pigeon or squirrel in the head at 35yds plus regular can be a hit or miss affair if there's a Paralllax Error ? Basically if you're looking for a New scope! do you look for one with a Parallax adjustment or one which is normaly fixed at 10
  19. I can't say I rate them too much with this particular gun! I used the AA Diablo's 4.52'S, also used the JSB Exacts 4.52's and both seem to have a good few flyers, plus as posted above there was a good few well out of shape in the AA tin... Finally tried some Barracuda's which although are a bit heavier are pretty stable in this rifle..... atb Jasper
  20. what a cracking collecter's peice. I'm sure they did a 335S too late 70's - 's? if you get the gun running on all cylinders you should get it fairley close to the 12ft/lbs limit, I know back then being one of the old folk I for one would have loved one or a BSF S70, I had to make do with the Webley Vulcan, Airsporters and Mercury's all in .177 of course .... that gun would be pretty sweet with a .177 Barrel latched onto it cheers Jasp
  21. To be honest I can't see what trouble it will cause? Falconers have been useing Rangle for centuries plus many times I pick up castings in the Peregrine aviaries where the birds have injested stones voluntary.... Pea Gravel is fine! I use even finer gravel more like heavy chicken grit on some Falcon nest ledges, its horses for courses but I can't say I have ever had a problem with it since I first started playing birdies .... atb Jasper
  22. Be good Pal and keep us all posted on whats happening ! I'll certainly miss watching your Vids Si as will my lad.... Anyway hope all turns out good for you mate when you're off to foreign shores, I'm sure you'll have plenty to fill us in on with some new Hunting activities with perhaps some Larger Cal Rifles ..... atb Jasp
  23. It crossed my mind Sean but he'll be part of a good balanced diet for the Goshawks in the breeding season .... To be honest mate I should get out and knock some more over and a few pigeons to fill the freezer up.... atb Jasp
  24. Spot on VV , thats one happy looking lad!! Its good to see youngsters coming through these days.... My lad now gets out and about beating and shooting yet when he gets to school half of the kids think its Barbaric and cruel ...... Its was a bit different when I was a kid..... atb Jasper
  25. walked out to feed my birds earlier and spotted 2 squirrels running off the top of the aviaries!! walked back in the house and filled up a Mag and back out again with the Ranger, by the time I got in the woods one had all but disapeered and the other suicidely walked out on a limb to cross to another tree, anyway to cut a short story even shorter one shot one squirrel and back in the house for coffee ..... Hopefully get out for some more soon when I get time Jasp
