  1. Spot on answer. No way should there be food or anything that the dog can steal left in the room. Some dogs will never learn, so you have to change your patterns. My dog stays in the kitchen, and there has to be chairs all around the worktops and the table cleared because he steals and destroys everything he can get. If in doubt mate, throw the dog out the back while your not there, don't give the little bugger any opportunity. Good luck!
  2. Corn should get them fairly ripe for the table. Give em all sorts, Give grass if they've already ripped all the grass in the run up, they like it and its good for them. Give any spare cabbage leaves, fresh beetroot, anything from your veg garden. You'll have the healthiest chucks around! The main thing is to have variety. Also give some millet, like a budgie mix, just for variety. A mix of oats, wheat, barley and whatever is great. When you're digging the garden, throw em in some worms that you find. They will eat some table scraps. Leftover plain rice (esp. brown), plain pasta (no butter,
  3. We're gonna have roast rabbit and chinese roast duck from the takeaway! ....At least thats what I want anyway!
  4. I skin them before I gut them because I save the furs.
  5. Brilliant pictures, well done! Wish I had a good camera!
  6. Nice dog. He's very like my Doberman because my fella's a working line one so he's thicker set than show lines. What a sh*t load of pheasants by the way!!
  7. Hi mate, I'm 17, would like to get into trapping. I just lamp with dogs, not allowed get a gun but would am interested in trapping. Was just looking up rabbit catching books actually, would really appreciate a free one if theres any left! I am in Ireland though. Cheers mate.
  8. You talkin to me? Whats the problem mate, there are f*ck all rabbits around here if you must know!!! You know it is possible to have respect for the animals and environment as well as being a hunter.
  9. If ya want to conserve them, as some people do, like non-crop farmers and on playing fields etc. don't hunt them in breeding seasons. Catch a load and freeze em!
  10. Lol, but that skeleton sounds Cuban! Or maybe Mehican!
  11. The main thing is that the keeper is not indiscriminite as trappa said, and that he's not killing more birds than necessary, or rare birds. Come on like, the birds are just doing what comes naturally to them to stay alive. There needs to be respect for nature and a give and take relationship, not just a take relationship and f*ck everything that interferes. Bloody cats though, the world would be a better place without them! Not only do they start fights and keep me up at night, but they kill everything! (Not to mention my mams cat being deaf and screaming at the top of his voice evry 5 m
  12. I'd like to find some Muntjac and work my Dobe on one. I think he'd be brill.
  13. Yep deffo raw. Spiritofold, raw chicken, raw steak, raw mince, its all good. Tinned food up to 70% water simoman? Man I've seen 81% water! And they still have the cheek to call it "complete". Your dog will bloody die if you feed him on that crap alone! The best is raw meat (turkey, chicken, rabbit, beef, whatever) plus some grated raw veg like carrot. I give the odd apple too. Raw eggs, also great. Some people give cottage cheese, which is good, but dogs don't need dairy, its not natural to them, so avoid feeding it a lot. Big raw bones are a must too. (not too many tho) Barley can be
  14. Haha. Are Munjac deer banned for hunting??
  15. Lovely pics Kay! I hate when idiots have their dogs off lead and go crazy when it gets attacked!! Worse though is dogs off lead that do the attacking! On the beach once, there was a bitch with 2 labradors off lead, my two dogs (dobe and jack russell) were on lead. The labrador came towards us, clearly stalking my little dog, waiting to attack, the stupid whore was just like "come on, come" in a really mock-friendly voice to her dogs. So my dobe (watching all the time) jumps between my JR and the Labs and lunges at them and barks. And of course everyone thinks its my 'big vicious' Doberman
  16. Sorry to hear about your dogs mate. I can't believe your Rottie did nothing. I have a Euro bred Doberman and I believe they are the best guards, they have brains as well as braun. They're so smart though that they need work and attention and can't be just left in a yard as a guard or they wont guard well. The best defence you can get is 3 Dobes, they work as a team. An ex Russian soldier once told my dad that if you have a gun and theres a Doberman, your alright. If you've a gun and theres 2 Dobermans, you should be alright, but if you have a gun and theres 3 Dobermans, youre dead. lol
  17. Ooh looks creepy. But in fairness, how far out in the wilderness can you get in Britain without being near someones house/farm?? lol. They have to put a Rottie in..why cant it for once be a vicious Labrador?! lol
  18. Bloody hell... I actually wouldn't doubt that Chinese would eat foxes, just depends on where they're from and how westernised they are. Pretty f*cked up. But ever notice, whenever a chinese takaway closes down, the first thing you hear is because they were selling cats/rats/dogs! lol. My friends uncle swore his chiken balls tasted like rabbit once, which is ok, but I still would want to know what I'm actually eating...
  19. Well don't start the dog full on yet. Good luck mate
  20. Haha very true mate. I think the average English person gets or very well with the general Irish person. Same sense of humour etc. We're more similar than we like to admit! lol. City people anyway. Americans be warned, a beer in America means one beer. A beer in Britain and Ireland means a case of beers!! My family lived in London for a good while back in the 's, my brother was born there. England was really good to them, they got lots of help when they needed it and were really grateful for it. We were dirt poor back then! But yeah, Britain and Ireland are really good to foreign
