  6. Splendid! Good work and bag! Have you cleared the spot? Or will there be a return visit? Please post it up if you do. Brim.
  7. Hi Daz, JW will get locked up one day for the chat rooms he goes on! His lungs would give out on this ground! Dog is ok. And Jamie, for decades we have always worked albino's, with me straying off trhe path, with poley outcrosses, every couple of years with no advantage. A good working ferret whatever its make up does the job under the ground as well as any other, they are all as brutal as each other, its just over the years, i'd like to guess that the majority of failings i have had with ferrets, is usually straying away from a pure albino strain. Mainly coming from the handling above groun

Yep I have clearing a warren OCD. hate losing a rabbit, or leaving a corpse behind!
  9. Poor Pluto, he might get a complex!
  10. Does anybody think that people are to blame for a reduction in numbers? Its something that I have thought about for 20 yrs and have some theories on it.
  11. Get em done, just do them in the AM, then you have a chance to do something about it, or if like me, wait until 3 PM in December saying I should not have done that!
  12. Had a look out today on my own, the way I like it! With my old feller dogsitting today, I took the opportunity to take out the young russell bitch 'Brick', and trial a couple of young fezzers bred this year from one of my jills 'Eyeball'. Its the first breeding I had done since 2008, not needing anymore animals, I have left alone, but have been cutting it close in not doing so. She threw out 3 jills and a hob in May I think, outcrossed to an albino hob (as all mine are now related), owned by my old mans partner in crime for many a year. He has always over the years helped us out with stock,
  13. Humbly. hope it all goes well, good luck!
  14. Yep a few bottles go around, small cost really in the grand scheme of things.
  15. Mine are too busy sat at the pc reading and typing nonsense to kill anything!
  16. A superb read once again mate, and a tally i'd be made up with for a full days graft! Only five ferrets! thats going out tooled up with an army for us! And not even a dig Slick! I take it the warrens are big open tubes down there, we have a few like that, but most are a bit tight, its been ages since I had a day with no digs and wonder if i'll ever get a dig free day again! Keep at em and keep the reports coming, Brim.
  17. Yep it will drag you back, if you have done it from a kid, its an affliction that would take therapy to remove from you! Are there not rabbits in Ibiza Tomo?
  18. Hi Heritage, After various consultations, the options were not looking great for the dog due to the serious nature of the break, it was right on the joint of the back of the left elbow, where the tendon is attached to the bone, pulling the broken bit of bone away from the break. A very complex break. He had to be taken to a specialist in Manchester, and was operated on Tuesday, who at least gave us a bit of confidence that he can keep his leg. They have pinned a band around the back of floating bone, pulling it back into its place back in the joint., but all the time the tendon is doing what
  19. Tidy! well worth putting the effort in!
  20. Nice bag and tally so far, thanks for posting it up, and please keep posting. Brim
  21. It twists me to miss a bunny, leaving one 6 ft down when i know its over makes me mad. think it must be OCD or something. Go on Vin, good work on the two, two would be enough for me if i knew only two were on the cards. Bloody rabbits!
  22. I'd value nearly every animal I own over more than half of my own family, but have to say, my family aint the usual sort.
  23. I think its deffo something the jills do more than the hobs, whether its down to the size of the ferret in proportion to the rabbit i dont know, but even my smaller hobs always go in under the side of the neck. Something that amazed me, was the 3 ferals that we caught in the drop boxes years ago, 2 jills and 1 hob had wiped out the catch in 3 seperate drop boxes, every one of them had chewed out the back of the neck like a stoat, whether this is something that they do when they can get all around the bunny i dont know, but i suspect, the ferals like stoats, take less punishment by hitting the
