  1. Bloody hell, forget about it! An old fourtrak would be cheaper! http://www.humpalumpa.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=97
  2. Trusty old fourtraktor Tomo, my second one is still going strong with nearly 200 thou on it! The sea fishing match lads use trolleys with big moon buggy type tyres on them, obviously would be hard to drag up the dale, but would be handy coming downhill with a good bag, i'll see if i can find any photo's!
  3. What can i say, but bloody awesome! Nice dogs, and good work. Reading your replys to posts i could tell you knew what you were doing, but reading this and seeing the piccies confirms it! Excellent read, and please keep posting reports.
  4. Bout time you got out FV! Thanks for posting, and good to read. (Can you click on image code on the photobucket links, it shows the photo's direct, rather than clicking on each one individual to view?) The harris looks strong!
  5. Is that Liam Gallagher in the piccies? Good work chaps, keep at em!
  6. Nice one Max. look good big rabbits there! Is the lttle dog a russel?
  7. Thats the stuff chaps, and great bag as well. Holes in the ground looking a bit round! Just take the flat edge of the blade a bit and give it a point.
  8. Horrible spineless twats, days are numbered.
  9. Just a follow up response to Moe, FV and Tomo about the numbers of ferrets to put in the warrens. I can understand, and do stick more than one ferret in a warren when its required, this is usually in a large warren, with large tubes where 1 ferret gets the runaround from numbers, and cannot shift the rabbits. What we are working at the moment are on steep hillsides, and on first glance look like a huge warren. In reality, once you start, you soon realise this could not be further from the truth. A large area may have anything up to 300 holes on it, this can be broken down into lots of disjoin
  10. Do you really believe a good ferret will be trying to turn the rabbit to make it bolt, or trying with every trick up its sleeve to kill it, leaving the rabbit no option resulting in a bolt? Same with an arsed up rabbit, they know they have met there match, and can hold off all but the most savage of arse eaters preventing death, then they get a break, and get the feck out sharpish every so often, dont think its a choice allowing a ferret to bolt it, just a basic survival instinct to escape when the heat is off for a short while, forced on them by an animal capable of seeing the job out. Just
  11. Like this Lee? this one ends up on his back! Smallish hob though, so struggles in the eating it from the back end! but sticks at it.

  13. Found it fun whilst out with an un-named mate of mine a few years ago, that my old grey knocker box found his mk 3 equipped ferrets quicker and more accurately than the orange 'Thing!'.
  14. Thats the second time in a week you've said that Tomo! Me thinks you want to see me in the middle of ten ferret, hillside excavating, multi net tangling, explosion of carnage, bodies and trenches! Probs would make a good yorkshire dales disaster movie!
  15. Continued on our campaign again today, same spot as last week only a little further along, the two runners Jed and Robbie who were nearly redundant again today, myself and the old feller, and the two 4 yr old albino jills, B'stard and Eyeball, who are getting into fine physical shape now due to the graft and grub thats being thrown at them. They are not lean, and not heavy either, just getting strong and robust with muscle starting to develop on them, I can see these two jills being busy for a couple of months, they will end up gettting a good few days a week out in the near future, and has me
  16. Nice work, good bit of pride gone into that!
  17. No honestly, some great imformation, probably saved me about two years of trials, in 1 hour of internet time. Many thanks guys. Brim.
  18. Tiercel, i am surprised at you as well, you will be using a ferret finder next!
  19. Had experimeted with braided, and ended up using it as a string line at work cause i could not get a hold. carrick it is cheers chaps.
  20. Bleeding eck, can see a net taking me a week to do now! Round the two, then the one, sure i was taking it round the two twice giving a massive knot, many thanks TC
  21. Wondered how they got the knot that tight, even pulled a few apart to check it was the same knot, and then tried even harder to get one as good!
  22. Tomo thats cheating, where is your purist streak!
  23. Jeepers Tomo, only just got used to throwing the loop, thats just turned me into more of a cabbage that before!
