  1. Collie grey, going back a lot of years, lots of generations, lurcher to lurcher. Solid animals, not too big as rabbits is our game, but have to be able to go all day. These are 18 months old, just finding there wings, and fast!
  2. Newbie to the site, (2 days ago) so thought it time to post the odd photo of the team in today's outing! As soon as i work out how to post up photo's! Help!
  3. Got mine here a few years ago, a bit cheaper but quite a long way away matey! http://www.cwberry.com/ProductCat.aspx?Tre...ba-a8a2c9b6400f Shame I live a bit far away!
  4. The bulldog's you posted the link to are great spade's, especially when they have worn in a bit and sharpened up, get one with the longest T handle availiable, it always comes in handy when going that bit deeper. If i could i'd have a little bit more angle placed on the head (just a fraction) to lift out the loose from deeper down, and a slightly wider head. (These spades are as good off the shelf as you'll find, owning one myself, but i like to move things fast, and have the grunt to do it!)
  5. Thanks for the welcome again to all of you, looks like the rabbits are in an unsafe place around you lot judjing by the avatars!
  6. Men that know there ground! The totals speak for themselves!
  7. Give it a bit of time like most of the fellow's have said, but if in time it isn't going to get stuck in, then as the season goes on it isn't going to clear the warren, (Rabbits get harder to shift as they get older). In the dales, we've found the strong hob the key, not even netting up sometimes! It will kill at will, with nothing escaping but the best. (this is where a strong shovell takes over, usually only 18" down anyway!) And will not leave untill everything is gone. Sounds daft i know, but why take 20 mins putting nets down in the wind and rain, when a couple of bunnies can be take
  8. If that was a true wild Polecat you would not be handling it after a month in captivity. Well not without welding gauntlets anyway. Tiercel Picked an albino out of a drop box trap years ago, built like a Brick out house through living wild and well, after a month in captivity it shed lots of muscle, and after repeated attempts to tame it never became more than slightly tame. Let it go where you found it before the cold sets in, hopefully it will get it's fat reserves and muscle back up to scratch as from my experience will never be usefull for anything more than fingershredding and s
  9. Hello Mad Al, I take it you are from the Welsh sector then? Thanks for the hello!
  10. New to this forum, just saying hello. Keen rabbiter, who is the son of a keen rabbiter (allthough he's a bit past it now!) Dogs, ferrets and rabbits seem to take over my life at this time of year, Allthough just this Monday we had to say goodbye to one of the team, a 14 yr old collie grey called 'Roy' of all names, will be sadly missed. His sons will make sure all the rabbits will still have to run! Hope to read up in the near future of everybody's post's, looking forward to posting a little bit myself! John.
