  1. I tried but it was sent to a number 30 and there isn't one in my road, lol.
  2. Danny forget the last bit about the phone number. I found it and just spoke to a very nice young lady called Sue.The reason I didn't recieve it was because the number on my address was wrong.......Ah well at least its all sorted for next year, see you there. Thanks!

Thanks for your help looks like it was a good day out, hope to be there next year as I have qualified again.
  4. hiya mate wat was the edrd show like never got my quilifier like so went on hols like do u know y i never got it Two of mine won qualifiers but I never recieved them either.Even though I contacted the organiser and was told that they would be with me in time for the show but still didn't recieve them. 5. Its always good to see proper russells doing it.In my area a certain person has for the last few decades been flooding the market with white lakeys. It always pisses me off when people call their white lakeys russells and sell them as russells.Keep them seperate.Because they do well at shows people seem to use them on their russells to tidy them up but in my opinion they are ruining them as their working styles are totally different.
  6. The bloke you are on about is George Kelly of Brownhills Staffs. Many years ago I drove for 3.5 hours to get to his house to look at a Collie Grey x Beddy Grey that he said was out of outstanding working parents and would win any show. I was on the dole at the time and scraped up the cash to barely cover the cost of the bitch and the fuel. The bitch was a nice looker on first impressions but when he let her out of her kennel I noticed that her tail was completely severed at the base and just hanging limpley. On bringing this apparently minor detail to his attention I was told that it was nothi
  7. The fully breed wheatons was one off the dogs all doggy had for big game and drawing out yea dont have the jaw power off bull but better coats good feet faster and l would say more wind but the bull cross has alot as well Totally agree iceman thats why doing the mating is a good idea as you can incorporate the best of both breeds.Making a very useful hound.
  8. I think that you should do the mating. What suits one man may not suit another, everyone looks for something different in a dog.I think that the Wheaten will add a bit of steadiness to the pups, and a bit of hair on the face is a good thing in this day and age.I like the cross and find the Wheatens seem to act different a bit more thinking but with the gameness and drive that you need to do the job in hand.

  10. Some nice looking young'uns Olli hope they do well for you mate.
  11. Back in the 's when we were selling fox pelts a mate of mine used to feed his dogs on the carcasses. His would fight savagely for the meat but noone elses dogs would touch it.
  12. TRAPPING AND RELLEASING MINK is illegal by the way... some lads our always asking me for a trapped mink to show there pups .."ask our mutual friend " I know it is Glenn and so it should be, I believe that they should enter naturally.I don't think that the practice teachs pups anything a bit like end hole work. They learn far more if they enter naturally and work their quarry in its natural environment.
  13. Oh you should have said you were going you could have come up with us lol.
  14. Does anyone know if the crosman ultra magnums are the same as the crosman accupells?
  15. Thanks for that Shay very handy site.Do you know why they are now Webley Accupell instead of Crosman? And are they the same as The Crosman Accupell?
  16. Hi does anyone know if you can still buy the Crossman Accupells? They don't seem to be available now where I get my pellets from. They used to be a very popular ammo but I don't seem to be able to source them anymore, can anyone shed some light?? Thanks
  17. this palce was were i lost shona as well, a rocky firebird bitch ..to ground at fox ! Methane. Did you get the fox though Glenn...?lol
  18. Sorry to have missed this one but not ignored, wondered what bill was on about my sincere apologies, mark. Vandal, was he a Plummer with 28% vampire blood a halfbred jrt.? Plummer.. he and others then for PR purposes was named plummer terriers as were so many but they were not true breeding enough to be called a breed...others bred more true as well...but then when you consider vandals pedigree, how could they have been when the fathers sire was crossbred and the rest of the pedigree mongrelized. Offspirng from vandal sometimes resembled other breeds a sign of homozygosity . AS DID MANY

  20. Glenn if you read back through you will see that I have asked two questions and both seem to have been ignored...? One was are you saying that Vandal wasn't a Plummer? And the other was how many foxes have YOU taken in the last season with YOUR terriers? Thanks
  21. Glad to see there are a few still being worked.Lets hope they make a good standard as we all know everyone has different perceptions of work. There are those that dig maybe one or two a season and those that work maybe a hundred or more.A vast difference as many dogs look good for a few occassional digs but throw the towel in when the workload gets a tad heavier. Good luck with them lads.Just out of interest how many have you had with your terriers this past season Glenn?
  22. What a load of childish nonsense,to each their own I suppose.Glenn are there many owners that are regularly using their Plummers for fox control (earthwork) these days. I do know of several that are gone now that were decendants of Bills stock that were as good as any earthdog. Are you saying that Vandal wasn't a Plummer?I'm not sure that I understand what you meant in one of your recent posts.
  23. Nice one thanks for that Si,was just asking as my local gundealer doesn't stock much variety. They have Air Arms Field,RWS,Bisleys and one or two others, not much choice.
