  1. dogs can digest a full stomach of food in 12 hours so you can feed a dog the normal amount of food (or if its going to be worked hard the next day i give extra) 12 hours before going out .... CASPA you dont seem to know a lot about feeding mate ... your dogs will be running on empty if you are only feeding a small amount 24 hours before taking them out .... if you feed a nice fatty meat diet on the saturday night you WILL get more out of the dog the next day .........
  2. raw onion pases warms.and keeps germs away what a load of crap onions will do nothing for a dog with worms ... you have been listening to fools mate ..........
  3. firstly you shouldnt feed dried and meat together as the dogs gut absorbs them at different times and this can cause digestive problems ... and secondly you shouldnt feed onions as the can cause upset stomach, and can cause heinz body anemia ................

  10. as i keep stating i dont believe they had Waardenburgs ... i believe the recesive gene in the silver caused the problem ... crow they ranged from being very weak boned feeble creatures to having deformed spines to their legs not being formed correctly .... they were just weak and feeble creatures that i had to cull so thats why i wont embark on a silver to silver mating again ...........
  11. i bred silver to silver twice out of seperate lines and got the same result both times ... i also know of other litters produced by silver to silver mating that were the same ............
  12. the silver lines were absolutely fine .........
  13. crow none of my silvers had a white stripe or blue eyes or eyes set wide apart or a flat skull etc etc etc .... BUT when bred they did produce blind deaf weak and deformed offspring .........

  16. like most carnivores ferrets get their energy from fats and not from carbs like us humans ... they are also lactose intolerant which means they cannot digest milk properly ... so milk and sugar is probably the WORST meal you could possibly give them ... wild polecats weasels and stoats certainly dont hang off the udders of cows to get their milk fix ... fats and proteins via meat are what a ferret requires to keep them in tip top shape ... fish is a very good addition to a ferrets diet ... get yourself down liddle or aldi and get the cheap sardines in oil to supplement their diet ... but the o

  18. ok back to thread it is not a good idea to breed silver to silver as the resesive gene will mean you will end with weak and feeble litters .........

  23. i had 2 hours spare this morning so i decided to take tegan for a little bit of ferreting with the longnets ... it was a nice sunny day but the wind was biting cold ... still i would rather be out and cold than sat in the house listening to some gimp of a chef telling me how to defrost my turkey ..... the first place we tried looked really promising but only 1 rabbit was at home so we uped sticks and moved to an old favourite spot of mine that always holds a few bunnies ........... took some pics but my camera is old and crap and i am the worlds worst photographer lol ............
