Ah right we are talking about longneting at night ... I’ve only trained one dog for that job my old dog Tegan and to be fair she was pretty good at it ... I don’t do enough longnetting at night to bother training a dog for that game now .......

I had it with a pup years ago ... pup was fed a healthy balanced raw flesh bone fruits and veg diet the same as I had fed plenty of other pups but for some reason developed hollow spots in the front legs and had just started bowing when I lowered the protein added calcium and caged the pup 2 weeks later was right as rain and I slowly introduced the protein back in and she grew to be a stunning strong animal ........

You will need to add calcium also ......

Could be a combination of to much protein causing hollow spots and not enough calcium causing soft bones ... easy fix lower the protein intake and add calcium to the diet ... limit the pups movement until it gets fixed ......

Did it Over 20 years ago with a wild polecat and the kits were useless until they were bred down to 1/8 polecat. Loads of wastage ......
