  1. The after match interviews have just come on in English and guess what.... ...........I still can't understand a feckin word of what they are saying
  2. Is that the same as the Irish would speak mate, or are they different?
  3. I've just flipped through the TV channels and saw that the Celtic game was on BBC Alba, so I've turned it over to watch. What the hell language is the commentator speaking?
  4. I went out and had 2 squatters in the first 10 mins, then never got within a hundred yards of one for the next 3 hours. The feckin dog nearly had me off my feet a load of times, he could see them from across the other side of the fields it was that light.
  5. A mate of mine bought a cocker pup as a pet years ago that was from show lines that went back generations, From three months old that little dog would fly into cover and put up everything there was in the area, I was amazed at how good it was.
  6. it was 20 past 1 In the morning , not realy a feeding tim , So you were hunting with him then?? God help the poor dog.
  7. Loads round by us, even in the daytime. Though the last 2 me and the dog have seen seem to have dissapeared
  8. Best thing to do then is spray a coat up and give to someone he doesn't like as a christmas present, Then he can sit back and watch what happens for a while, and as long as no body parts rot or drop off jobs a goodun.
  9. There's a world of difference between a couple of miles behind a bike and a few hours running up and down hills mate, Sounds to me like he was just being a staffy and didn't know when to stop. My old staff would run all day long then feel like a cripple next morning, but still be willing to go again if I let him.
  10. Just bought myself a cheap one off ebay. I can't hit a thing with it at the mo, but it's a good laugh.
  11. I think my first instinct would be to lash out, then run away screaming like a woman :D
  12. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzr2iDQMKDo Scariest practical joke ever and maybe the funniest too
  13. I see them regularly too mate, they are all over the place round by me. They are so used to seeing people you can get very close to them and a stag can look me squarely in the eyes, they are enormous things, Add on the antlers and they must be getting on for 7 foot tall with their heads up. I know 2 people with pet dogs that have been attacked, one guys springer needed 20 stitches.

    Wind!

Me too but it's forecast for the wind to have died and cloud break up here in the Midlands by tonight
  15. Local news says it was just one bite that did it.
  16. I wouldn't either, but you should have heard the people ringing in to my local radio station this afternoon that said they would. My dogs nearly 4 now and has seen my 4 year old grandaughter 3 or 4 times a week since the day she was born but I still make sure she is not left alone with him, kids can do things without realising it that can set a dog off.
  17. Yep. hopefully I might even get the dog a few runs
  18. I got a roughneck for a tenner from Jewsons and am well pleased with it.
  19. Bob could be right there mate, I remember doing a field last year where you would see 20 rabbits a time at night, but it turned out every one had come from across a lane on another permission.
  20. I know what you mean about the nettles mate, I had a dig the other day that ended with me lying on the foor at full stretch with my face in a bed of the bloody things, I was still tingling when I went to bed
  21. Just had a collar off this lad this morning, delivered quickly and when he said he would, . Thanks mate, Tom
  22. 4 or 5 in a morning would be a decent bag here too, but I don't think I'll be giving up as it's still a nice way to pass the time. In a strange way I think I'm lucky because I've never known big bags, what you don't know doesn't bother you and all that.
  23. That's my main worry mate, that I'll miss the ferret if it pops out on the other side of a hedge. The dog is pretty steady now when ferreting but he ain't going to pop the ferret back in for me if it comes out the wrong side.. lol The problem is that you end up doing the same few holes and wreck them if your not careful.
  24. The lad I was ferreting with last year doesn't seem to want to know now so I've been out on my own wth the dog but there are a lot of warrens in hedges that I simply can't do because it needs one person each side, or undergrowth so big it needs more than one pair of eyes to keep an eye out for the ferrets. How do you guys manage or is it not possible?
