  3. hi everyone i have bred my light polecat jill to a small sandy hob, kits are doing well in a vary of colours, and here they are! father mother and kits aren't they lovely, i spend hours with them i just can't seem to stay away lol the jill is fantastic with them and never even lost one which i believe is rare, both parents work and though the jill can nip on occasions are both tame, very chatty and happy lil critters lol hope you didn't mind seeing even more photos of my family lol but there we go all the best lucher lass x x x
  4. you should put a dog over her thats smaller then the bitch, so she can cope with the size of pups naturally or could risk health probs, up to you though lurcher lass x
  5. You buy yours off her then...and leave this lad alone to sell his.. well said, good luck with the sale mate all the best lurcher lass x x
  6. i enjoy walking and training me dogs, keeping me ferrets well handled and busy, plan to get back into horse riding, cooking and eating lol also like going out and dressing nice instead of always being in steels lol but nothing beats relaxing on the sofa readin with the three dogs contently kipping at me feet
  7. p.s nice photos by the way x x
  8. at the risk of sounding like a miserable old woman i hate summer!! my irish blood goes into shock with the heat! give me wind, rain, sleat and frost anyday! the only thing i like is the longer hours of daylight wish it could do that without the heat bring on winter!! with walking in the rain and mud for 4 hours to come home freezin to have some hot steaming stew, one of life simple pleasures lol not long to go will soon be workin with the foxhounds. ferreting, lamping and having a go at deer stalking bring it on!!! all the best lurcher lass x x x
  9. when the pup is sleeping or otherwise distracted like chewing a bone etc either clap your hands behind his head very hard and fast or turn on a siren of some sort like a rape alarm, to see if he responds to the noise also the vets can do a hearing test to not only determine if the dog is deaf or not but also the percentage too best of luck mate and i hope the pup is just going through a stubborn phase all the best lurcher lass x x x
  10. well done mate keep it up though i learnt that after a few weeks things can change all the best lurcher lass x x x
  11. hey mate i completly agree!! i was looking for a new pup for 10 months before i found one good enough, then i got two! the bulk of people breedin their dogs were not fussy bout the potential home or had the buyer had much experience, these are the dogs that end up in rescue. . . grr all we can do is make sure we only breed our dogs if they would benefit the next generation not be an inconveince and only dogs and pups we are confident about and hope this demand for sheer amount of puppies breed decreases along with the number of idiots buying pups to re home after a season or two hap
  12. i'm so sorry to hear about your loss, is horrible when you don't get a chance to say goodbye as its sudden i do hope the garda sort their act out, the should be limits in a human mind to realise when there are over reacting and gone way to far!! give me dogs and ferrets any day, they just work with pure instinct - no hidden agender (sorry my spelling is awful) all the best lurcher lass x x x

  15. self employed dog trainer, also do walking and boarding too is my daytime work rabbiting for local farmers, pub work, bird of prey training, horse racing work, cleaning are all jobs i do extra
  16. firstly think of what you want to use the dog for, if you'd want a soft mouthed dog this could prove difficult with the dog howver if you wante a determined strong jawed handy small sized dog then go for it as long as you'd be able to rehome all pups all the best lurcher lass x
  17. childs cough med and keep infected dogs away from others, always wash hands after attending to the infected dogd
  18. oh wow!! you keeping on or sending it to a wildlife sanctuary? well done all the best with the lil chap lurcher lass
  19. beautiful pups mate, best of luck with them
  20. i'm sorry to hear that people have been so rude!! my dogs sleep inside, but only because of theives or they'd be in kennels, you didn't say if your older is going outside too? what i would do is keep the pup indoors, to get a bond and to start on toilet training (less cleaning for you in long run) then introduce the pup to it with you there, make sure the pup veiws it as a positive thing, i.e after a long walk so he's relaxed bring him to his kennel to feed him, pop a bone in there with his bed that he's been sleepin in indoors and leave him for 10 mins and gradually increase over time
  21. 14 wow best of luck mate, my jill has had her first litter, 2 days old counted roughly seven but don't want to worry her, nice looking jill you have too, what colour hob did you pop her with
