hi mate best of luck with the pup the girlie on top has said the bulk of what i would say another suggestion is let the pup be indoors for a while first to get used to when he's walked, fed etc and then start introding the kennel to him as an addition of the days routine and not a barrier training can and should start as soon as poss even if its 10mins every day but the more you give the more you'll get out of your dog fact! also for the howling if you do a search there has been loads covered on this so i'm sure you'll pick up more advice there take care lurcher lass xxx

for me its a combination of things the thrill of watching my dog flush a quarry, its a surprise even when you know she's scent something lol i will her on in the chase and my heart jumps with each turn, when my bitch catches and comes trotting back to me live in hand (mostly!) i have a true sense of pride, my dog doing what she was bred to do and thriving!! i also like the sneaking back home through the village with no one seeing my catch - have permission of course, but don't want to walk into and anti or an angry mother lol i get a real sense of satisfaction of putting food on the

hello everyone this is a very random question i know!! i was wondering how would you build a lure course, i'm assuming you could make do with a bicycle for the acceration, pegs to put in turns and a rabbit skin dummy - thinking attatched by magnet so the dog can retrive back to me and not start a bad habbit of catching and stopping i would like to do this to keep my dog fit when out of season, plus keep on the training and keep myself and dog occupied with chasing something!! plus i reckon could prove to be fun i have never done this sort of thing before but any help would be won

thanks for the comments everyone yes max my daughter helps me with ferreting by carrying the rabbits and she comes with me to feed them, and we let them out daily for a wonder round the garden loose (closly watched!!) and she helps keep an eye on them the hob is a grand worker, only once he's killed below ground and he dragged it to the surface to show off! lol hey no digging!! it will be difficult to part with them! thanks again all the best lurcher lass x x x x
