Now I really want to know what happened lol. had a friend keepering on a small private estate with an extensive pheasant collection, some real beauties, and loads of rare stuff the owner had imported himself, spent some good times on that estate, but my mate lost nearly all of them in the short time he was there, then the job.

I stand while my dogs eat (4 of them all workers) always have done always will do. If something so much as even looks like strife, nip it in the bud. Food its the ruin of harmony. Most sensible post on this thread. I too ALWAYS stand over my 3 when they are eating.

As to stoping the other dog going for the bike, or your legs, thats a hard one, can't help there. Maybe just a case of time, and getting her used to the bike.

I use one of those with my mountain bike, wouldnt want to use it on a motor bike, much better doing what he is doing, and free running them behind the motor bike. ran a bitch years ago behind a moped, at 30 round a field for years, she never had a problem. Now prefer the mountain bike, as its also helping me stay fit.

My mate owns him now.

He is a fine worker, the best from my 6, I got him as an adult, from some one who couldn't handle him, and was a spitting biting menace. I've had him 3 years, and he is good as gold for me. Has been from day 2, day one he was just all hiss and bite. Works every weekend of the season.

I'm just up the road, with a freezer full. They are whole, with the guts out, and 6 will polish one off in 24 hours. You can chop them up your self if you like
