People have been having straighteners for years......i think the Snatch film coupled with these boys filming their punch ups have led to a lot of impressionable young lads thinking its " cool " as you say.....A bit like when Tyson came on the seen and the younguns started calling their dogs " Tyson ".........usually lads who would never dream of having a fight but like to watch others....funny enough.

Dont know if you mean the father or son but they,re both passed on......i forget the relationship now but i knew Bobby Frankham back in the ,s he was a decent pro and a nice fella.....again i cant remember the relationship but Johnny Frankham was an absolute scumbag....but again, was a decent boxer. Bobby was banned from the pro game for smacking a referee after stopping him early.

no i know mate i wasnt directing that at you i just meant in general.........whatever has led to this obssesion with gypsy fighting i dont know....but its not good for boxing in my opinion and definately not youngsters. I dont think boys should be introduced to any sport that young but thats only my opinion and thats only from a sporting point of view not a parents...so not saying im right like.
-
4 ... Stone me !! and i thought our ol fella started us young...... Personally i believe anyone getting their youngsters into boxing should steer as far away from this gypsy stuff as possible.....if you wanted your lad to be the next Beckham or Rooney you wouldnt take them to watch sunday morning pub football you would want them watching and learning from pros...........same applies to boxing......Its a beautiful sport but set them off on the right foot would be my advice.

Ive never understood the Tyson/Ali argument....what possible reason is there to think Tyson would have stood a chance......All Tyson had going for him was a knockout punch.....a knockout punch that was nowhere near as hard as Foremans,Ron Lyles or probably the hardest puncher in heavyweight history Earnie Shavers....and none of them could knock Ali out ! Ali would have played with him,Ali always found a way to win Tyson couldnt do that .......If it took Holyfield 3 rounds to frustrate him into quitting can you imagine how frustrated Ali would have had him !

Have you ever seen the Fluval G6 filters mines very similar to them....real complicated shit im still trying to get my nut round it......you control everything from a laptop !....im thick as shit when it comes to computers so its probably taking me longer than most folk to get to grips with it.... Ive had big Discus tanks before with just normal sponge filters, with Discus the water changes are so important the filter dont really get a chance to build up too much, because they are almost constantly in fresh water the sponges suffice....but must admit ive gone a touch overboard with this new tan

I cant believe some of you lads are mentioning Mike Tyson in the same sentance as Muhammed Ali ................Its like comparing Ricky Hatton to Sugar Ray Leonard !! All the best to the great man, regardless of the guts, talent and desire he showed in the ring........living with that illness the last 30 years takes some doing.....must admit i dont really like watching him being paraded around anymore its painful to watch.

Dont get a multigym mate they dont allow natural movement and you,ll soon outgrow it strength wise.If you really must train alone then a smiths machine would be a better bet than a multigym or a cage..............training at home is hard work that takes real dedication to stay motivated and work with full intensity......if you join a good gym nobody will judge you....you,ll be given good advice and learn more just from watching others........your enthusiasm and intensity level will stay much higher in a gym but you must have the correct mindset and not get into the macho bullshit that some gym

Surely if breeding dogs is your " profession " you really should know your breeds standard !
-
Is being " responsible " breeding physically grotesque specimens to look like bloated out hippos ? no.....but plenty of kc breeders do it !......not saying you do by the way.....but the irresponsible owner is sometimes the second irresponsible person in the lifetime of some dogs and the damage is already done.

I still think that was possibly the best opening round ive ever seen in a contest, simple because of the magnitude of the event......quite often massively built up fights turn out to be a let down because of the hype.......but that first round just wasnt expected....very rarely do 2 fighters of such a high standing in such a huge event come out and just try to get the other out of there. The Gatti-Ward fights were good honest bouts that had some great moments but Hagler - Hearns being one of the most anticipated fights of that decade makes it a better fight for me. The Reg Gutteridge commenta

I use an ro/hma mix....tap water is reasonably hard round here so its essential really if you want to see the fish at their best.....i was into Discus back years ago when they were considered specialist fish but these days they are much more common, that said theres some real poor specimens being sold that i wouldnt touch with a barge pole its not so much tap water folk are just breeding poor specimens....ive bred the odd time but i leave that sort of thing to cleverer people than myself !....I had this tank specially made it was supposed to be 1000 litres but came out just over at 1030 the fil

Be surprised what these little c**ts get up to nowadays......dragging some poor little mutt off the streets and letting their big bad red nose munch on it for 10 minutes......in America i think they call them " bait dogs " ...................sad but true.
-
No i dont go on the forums mate i nick the occasional idea but nothing more.....its a discus tank i have a fair size one indoors and another at work but wanted just one time to really go for it ....water is heated and treated in a shed 50 foot away so theres absolutely nothing but fish in the tank...well thats the plan anyway its probably about 2 thirds done i,ll get some pictures when completed.

ok great .....im 99% decided then.

Is that a fact..............................it took me a minute,but i got there

Thanks for your input sir.............to cut a long story short ive been busy with a little project over the last few months putting a very large fish tank in a summer house/shed type thing in the garden.....i,ll be doing water changes every other day of around 100 gallons at a time so need to be getting the waste water to a main drain rather than just slinging it on the lawn and preferably doing them as quickly as possible .....ive just got a big 1000 litre ibc container that will be hidden away behind it and simply need to get the water to the main drain up towards the house.......im not th

Bang on that mate thats a good little link ........beginning to think id probably be making a lot more work than it really needs to be though it seemed a good idea at the time but think its a bit too much for my little brain to cope with

Lovely little side Swansea they have stuck to the principals of what got them up in the first place, and thats keeping the ball instead of lumping it up the pitch .........i dont go a lot on statistics but saw one today about Swansea being third behind Arsenal and Man Utd in the % of possession over the season so far............third ....good luck to them its refreshing to see.

What about this bad boy .......anyone ever used something like this ? 135 litres a minute !!....tin of spinach and away we go.....and no electric. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PATAY-DD120-HAND-DIAPHRAGM-BILGE-PUMP-FLOOD-BOAT-135Li-Min-/170760942002?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_BoatEquipment_Accessories_SM&hash=item27c22531b2

Ok..........height it will need to rise is probably only about 3 metres but like i say thats over about 200 feet.... An acceptable time would be an hour if ive got to be there or if i could fit some kind of shut off valve, who cares ! Moneys not an issue within reason. Where its going to be pumped from doesnt have an electric supply hence i was liking the idea of those ram pump things.......but......if it came to it im sure i could get one added thats not too big an issue....but a mains water supply i think is out the question !
-
Thats it...i was reading all about some mush from Cheshire in the 1700,s who invented it i like the idea of using water to pump water rather than the easy way out with electric
-
Ive asked a few of my equally divvy mates and im just getting puzzled looks so thought id ask on here......i need to regularly pump around 100 gallons of water a distance of about 200 feet at a slight incline..........ive so far been told of a few options....a submerssible/bilge pump type of thing which i know a little bit about........or a hydraulic ram pump which although ive looked up and like the look of i dont really have much idea what one is...............is there any of you smart folk who could throw any light on the subject ?

I dont know how it is now but Wales always was renowned for having a lot of puppy farms.....pretty rough conditions many of them....but im sure that go,s on all over not just Wales.

Nothing to do with me....but personally i think for an internet site where anybody can sling shit at each other and get away with it 90 % of folk on here are quite respectful......i clocked a post yesterday by the fella your talking about,Malt.... apologising to someone he thought he had wronged...to me that shows a classy guy. I dont know any of these moderators but most of them come across as good guys and in all fairness who cares if they,re not you dont need to be friends with them.... just common decency and manners cost nothing.
