  1. Ive just spent the weekend listening to all that dialogue after another blinding result for the Hammers yesterday......i like the area the football rivalry is great round there 4 good clubs all close together its just about the most dreary dosey accent ive ever heard and i really have to concentrate to understand whats being said at times but its got a bit of character i know a few lads from Willenhall/Wednesbury area.....always saying their from the reeeeel black country......buzz and bostin .......tara ra bit and all that caper.....funny fuckers
  2. Very nice..... Green lurchers is either a chef or he,s a great big fat bloke .....either way whenever i see his pics i have to go for a quick rummage round the fridge !!
  3. I find watching these types of series after they are popular the best way.......you can get the full sp before committing to watching it and you can watch them all straight after each other if you wish......saves you forgetting whats going on week to week........i enjoyed Peaky Blinders like other folk have said the accents spoiled it a bit but good watch anyway.
  4. Its worth remembering Mayfield had very few equals as a conditioner in his day......listening to those old timers is interesting from a historical point of view but our understanding of sports exercise and nutrition both feed and chemically has come on so much since those days that you cant really take anything more from it than a basic useful guide.
  5. Dogfox i think you are missing what im trying to say mate......not every jab a fighter throws has the same intention i never saw Tyson use the jab to stay on the outside he wanted to close distance not create it.......i,ll leave it there as its only my opinion.
  6. I agree it was a decent range setter to create openings........but it wasnt a point scorer.......he just wasnt the type of fighter who came out to win the rounds.

    Pigeon Lads

The young lad i had staying would hit me with all sorts of shit he had read.....widow wood is it.....ets pads.....id imagine like anything its well involved and loads to it but much as i tried for his sake i had absolutely no interest to be honest and he discovered girls anyway so it all went to pot.......all i wanted to know was how much weight could be strapped to their legs on them cross channel races
  8. LIke i said thats dirty little Millwall slags for you they gave up years ago.......have a look around Canning Town/Custom House/Silvertown/Beckton etc theres still pockets of proud white English folk who have stuck in and stayed true to their area. I used to go out with a bird whose grandparents lived down 3 Colt street, it was like being in the film Zulu, fuzzy wuzzies all around and a small white group in the flats in the middle ! Lol lol Times change Wilf you,d be lucky to get a bedsit round there for under a mill now......most of Dundee Wharf are copping for 5/6k per month rents.....g
  9. Gaz i do believe a fight can be easy even though it go,s the distance......some guys you just cant get out of there for various reasons but they can still be an easy victory.
  10. Did he ever win fights on his jab against top opposition or just all them silly fights before he won the title ?......if he did i must of missed that. Well yes he did, it was the key to his game whilst with Rooney... you definitely must have missed it. Dont keep it a secret mate tell me one and i,ll go check......i genuinely cant think of a distance fight Tyson was involved as in a jab and move fight he won on technical ability.

You being a youngster i bet your a good candidate for that pigeon lung caper South hams
  12. Every club had some wronguns mate it was a culture back then but like anything not everyone observed the do,s and donts......shirters were out of bounds that was an unwritten rule as were women or kids but not everyone stood up to the rules but in general it was all a bit of a laugh and just something young men did at the time. Its worth keeping in mind the late ,s was a horrific time for disasters we had the Kings Cross fire,Zeebruge Ferry,Lockerbie,Piper Alpha,Hysel,Bradford Fire,Manc air crash,East Mids, the Marchionese.......if i remember right the Marchionese and Hillsborough were only

  14. Easy, not everyone who hails from there is Millwall ! Lol Fair enough i,ll make an exception
  15. A manager who drops a player because of what political party he votes for......and grabs opposing players up by their throats acting like charlie big bollocks.......let alone wearing tracksuit bottoms that are 4 sizes too small for him..........is not a man who is going to command the respect of his players in my opinion......managers like Pearson/Allardyce will never manage the big clubs because they are so limited.......hence probably why Pearson is being linked with Villa and Allardyce never got the Real Madrid job that he thought he deserved
  16. Far as im concerned nobody could confidently predict what the return fight will be like simply because nobody knows if Klitchsko is finished or not.....my guess would be yes he is if his last showing was anything to go by and the return will just be a repeat but i wouldnt say it with any confidence as i dont know the man. I love the way people who have fallen for Furys antics try to get other people to fall for it as well I couldnt watch more than a few minutes of that press conference as soon as i hear all the super titles and legend descriptions i just lose the will to live......tha

  18. He plays direct when he needs to......but Carrol has been out for 90% of the season theres no point whacking high balls up for Payet and Payet has been one of the sensations of the premier league because he,s had the ball played to his feet.......ask any West Ham fan what they are happier watching a Bilic side or an Allardyce side ! " Putting things in place " is what managers say when someone else does better than them there is no comparison between last years side and this years same with that gormless prick Pearson he got them to 14th how can that compare to Ranieri coming in and winnin

    Pigeon Lads

I had a friend of mines son staying with me for a while i kitted him out with all the gear he only had about 10 birds but he got fed up with the amount of shit and clearing up involved and got shot of them i suppose for serious competitors its part and parcel but for a young lad just mucking about with them it was too much hassle....but everyones different i suppose.
  20. He probably only has about 20 lb to come off thats nothing for a guy of his frame its like a welterweight losing 6 lb......10 weeks is plenty of time........everyones different some fighters like to stay active and maintain their shape others prefer to completely let go and rebuild from scratch one isnt better than the other its whatever suits the individual.......the only problem with continually starting from scratch is its not good for the longevity of your career the body just cant be broken down and built back up regularly over years and still reach the same peaks......but then i very muc
  21. Football fans were seen as scum in the ,s it wasnt like it is today where its a nice family day out like going to the theatre bring the kids and look for your seat number we were treated like cattle back then whether fans were up for a ruck or not you all got treated by plod the same you wouldnt of dreamed to take kids or women to the big derby games back then ive put my arms round many a normal everyday punter shielding them from over enthusiastic plod with batons they didnt differentiate between good and bad fans........some of the excitement and atmosphere in the air has been lost but nobod
  22. Personally i dont go along with all the role model stuff that sportsmen are expected to be........i think thats a parents job........just because a young man reaches the top of his chosen sport doesnt mean he should have to take elocution lessons he,s there to perform at sport not talk infront of cameras.......but i do think men, particularly fighting men should carry themselves with a little bit of class and have something about them.
  23. What else would you expect its Deptford.....dirty lowlife Millwall wretches !
  24. So would my sister but i wouldnt describe her as having fighting heart thats just having a fearless nature....fighting heart is what the kid Blackwell showed the other week where you are getting consistently beaten in every department but still trying desperately to win.
  25. I think we will probably get pipped by the Scousers for a European spot but its been a fantastic year for the club i put it all down to the owners they had the courage to take a gamble and get shot of Allardyce and bring in a bright ambitious manager who wants to play the game the right way and respects the club and what it stands for i was one of many who thought we should of played safe and stuck with Allardyce as he virtually guarentees you premier league football which was so important going into the new ground but it was stick or twist and the gamble paid off.
