To have quick hands you need even quicker feet.....im nobody to criticise a world champion boxer but if theres a flaw he has always had its having hands that are too fast for his feet......he often lets his hands go before his feet are set which leaves him vulnerable to the counter.......its a catch 22 as if he slowed his hands down he wouldnt be the same fighter but would be technically better.......Nigel Benn was like it at the start of his career it wasnt until he slowed his hands down that he could absorb a shot better. Plenty of fighters have retired undefeated but when they are sitting telling their story to the grand children later on in life.......will they hand on heart be able to tell them that they really truly pushed themself to the absolute limit of their ability and seeked out the toughest competition available to them......when all the smoke has cleared a fighter only has himself to answer to.....if he knows he fought the toughest opponents out there and pushed himself beyond his own capabilities then win or lose that is the true glory.....not a nice pretty undefeated record.......i still speak to

In my experience the majority of people who take gear for a reason ( sport/competition etc ) are extremely knowledgable about what they are putting into their bodies. Whereas the people who take gear for no reason ( doormen/disco muscles etc ) dont know very much at all and generally just put whatever into their body they are told to. Much like dogs and dog shows.....people who actually work/compete with dogs tend to have a far greater knowledge of fitness than people who prance about at dog shows. Its the difference between do,ers and dreamers.

Its a common theme through life how the people who dont have the guts for a fight always end up becoming victims and blaming others. As adults we make our own choices in life thats why we dont get to vote until we are 18.......as 18 year olds some of us in this country had the guts for a fight but were let down by our own people.....we dont sit around now calling ourselves victims and blaming others we lost and are now paying the price......seems perfectly fair to me.

In top level sport you win some you lose some......if you are rubbish you dont compete in top level sport still not buying it, he didn't dominate his own division before taking that fight, if he had but got beat there would be plenty on here saying fair play be tried, myself included, like when Ricky Hatton came up short against may weather and pacquio, he was top class and knocking men out left right and centre but they were above him and no shame in him losing to them. These are different times mate Sugar Ray Robinson fought over 200 fights in his career todays top fighters do well to have 40.......the elite athletes today human or animal are much more highly tuned than years ago it doesnt make them better but the condition and peak they can be put in....yes thats definately better but the drawback is its far more stressful on the body over a career....... today all things being equal 10 fights for a man is probably the equivalent to 1 for a dog.

Couldnt agree more.......why do people seem to have such a hang up about saying " im not really sure about this ".......i,ll have my views and stick to them until more research and more info causes for a re - think.......thats the basics of how we learn isnt it ?...............makes you laugh how folk who question things and explore are told they are nutters by people who keep their eyes and ears firmly closed !

Shocking really how little coverage this fight has had its a massive fight with one of the most succesful British fighters ever.......fair play to the lad for seeking out the toughest opponents out there but i think this is a step too far and will be man against boy.

oh no these wasnt pals of mine mate just well known funny local characters that all neighborhoods have.....like i say it wasnt really my manor too close to Millwall for me but some folk just stick in the mind. Late 80's through the early 90's mate,always have fond memories of the isle of dogs. We should remember some of the same folk i would imagine remember the Browning brothers round there ?....Billy,Micky,Monty,i forget the other few........big Sammy the half caste lunatic used to kip round Billingsgate ?....Billy Wicks used to dj in all the pubs ?.....it was a bit off the plot for me but still some cracking characters round there.
